Dragon Age review that doesn't really say much

What it says positive isn't particularly informative though. All the information he mentions is preview material, and the actual review bit boils down to "Yeah so I like this game it's pretty cool".

No new shit music and mention of good combat is promising though, yeah.

Who gives a shit? That mainstream review doesn't mean anything to me. The game will be far too juvenile for my incredibly refined tastes. I take my games seriously. I'll be playing Mount&Blade.

And GameInformer knows a whole lot about good combat. Even though judging by gameplay videos combat is a terrible piece of shit.

Correction, just noticed one good thing. "Thankfully, none of the crappy metal from the trailers made the final cut"
What's good about this? It isn't like it was planned to be there in the first place.

The visuals are impressive, though not exactly top-of-the-line. The artistic design conveys the ancient fantasy setting well

ancient fantasy where everyone look like apes and blood everywhere, truly gritty.

99% of reviews are paid for by the game company. It's actually quite a challenge now to find an honest unbiased game. Actually I used to love Computer Gaming World (in the 80's) but nowadays I come to the codex to get a general opinion.

Just ignore all the mainstream media reviews and wait for people to post on here then add the averages together and you can get a good idea.

I get it! That was a blindingly clever way of telling me that I belong on the BioWare forums, right? Shucks!

I think if you spend enough time here you can a feel for who's posts to heed and who's to ignore. At least on here we actually get details on gameplay as opposed to mainstream reviews which are basically paid advertising.

I dont always agree with Codex Opinion but its usually far more accurate then any mainstream media.
