its officially confirmed Easy Anti Cheat just got breached hackers can run RCE's = Remote Code Execution. This example just happened in the apex tournament. few examples:

THIS IS A HUGE DEAL that an anti cheat got code breached and used as means to inject malware through it. this is a huge blunder holy shit!!!!

Probably not a good time to play EAC games until this is fixed. Dark souls all over again

it wasn't EAC twitter users are just functionally illiterate (as well as extremely tech illiterate) and thought "not known if its apex or EAC" means "it was EAC"
it was never likely to be EAC because EAC is under extreme scrutiny since it's designed not to be tampered with. it was always more likely to have been a problem with the game engine that historically has had numerous RCE exploits.

Call me a conspiracy nut but I don't trust EAC to validate they've got a major security hole until it's fixed. It would be extremely bad for the company to do so and likely would kill the business entirely. It's a story worth keeping an eye on for now.

no i'd say it's pretty likely that it's not EAC considering we'd see millions of PCs get infected with ransomware overnight if it were since like 4/5 multiplayer PC games use it.
too valuable of an exploit for both white and black hats to just fuck with some random streamers and do nothing else.
plus I say again that there is a history of severe security exploits in both titanfall 2 and in the source engine, so it would be nothing new for respawn.

on twitch everyone knew that glows played FPS because they were easiest to cheat in

this dipshit probably already had hacks installed and they just got remotely enabled

another funnier alternative would be that the streamer was hacking and got hit with remote executed code, but both incidents are unrelated

Latest news is it's an exploit in the source engine Apex is built on. So it wasn't easy anti cheat as Souta said. Still worth following right now IMO
