<A href="http://www.playerofgames.com/">Player of Games</a> has written up their <a href="http://www.playerofgames.com/reviews/index.php?id=64">review</a> of <A href="http://www.larian.com/Site/english/divinity/divinity.html">Divine Divinity</a>, the CRPG from <a href="http://www.larian.com/">Larian</a>. The review is incredibly positive, as you can see by this statement:

Eh.. I would have prefered less combat in the game, but I agree that it is a CRPG worth noting.

I have enjoyed it more than any RPG since Arcanum, but it's not nearly the best. Arcanum is better, as are both Fallouts. If S_P produces that all time list of RPGs he has promised us (hoho), I could probably find several others.

I didn't finish DivDiv. I was convinced I would, but then one of the dungeons turned out to be that bit too long, and my poor little mage is languishing there as we speak. I wouldn't say there was too much combat in general, but the dungeons seemed pretty superfluous.

Actually, in order to rank amongst the highest RPGs, DivDiv would also have had to introduce more complex NPC interaction. I liked there stories and characters, but they always went from A to B. I'd have preferred a few more letters of the alphabet to be drafted for inclusion.

I agree with the review that the transparency of interface was a big plus point.
