* I'm going to second The Dude's problem with saving and loading. I haven't fussed with it much, but I cant seem to get my ships back between uses period.

I name my savegame file 1.bmo so it auto-loads (to save myself time)
I assumed it would work, maybe I forgot to put in the load-code for when you choose a filename to load. Ill take a look.
* You might want to consider a different color for text in the Ship Name/Save Name boxes. Black doesn't show up real well against that background.
Oh yeah Ill fix that
As I said though, good work so far. It's been a while since I've seen a game try to go in a genuine "design and then battle your ship" direction. Hope you stick with it.

*EDIT* Strange. I just noticed that the text boxes I mentioned have white text in your screen-shots. I wonder what's causing mine to display it as black... Anyone else have this problem?

my fault, I tried to merge the GUI system with another game and a couple of glitches stayed in there from the other version.
