The Runaway games are a blast to play with friends ("puzzles" like the rubber duck of TLJ and fun item combinaison).
Beware there are some few illogicals/bad puzzles though.

It's the most hardcore puzzlefag adventure game of all time. Pretty much impossible to finish without a guide.

We don't use guides/walkthroughs, so I probably can't talk the gang into playing a game that requires one ;)

"Requires" is really relative depending on how much time you want to spend figuring it out. And if more people play there's better chances to get the solution faster. Two heads are better than one and so on.
I found puzzle heavy games to be pretty fun to play with my girlfriend. "Try this! No, try this! No, you're stupid, it's like this! No, you're stupid *grabs boob*" etc. You can adjust the previous for *grabs dick* depending how close you are with your buddies.

Stay away from the GK remake, play Broken Sword instead, as ghostdog said.

For a more obscure recommendation - try The Next Big Thing - I quite enjoyed it. Rather unique setting, nice production values and puzzles of adequate difficulty to figure out for yourselves, wihout the need to check guides.

I have never played a game in this way myself, but I have performed as a live assist/audience to my sister as she played through Dreamfall and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and to my wife with BG2 and Divinity: Original Sin. I am trying to get them both more into gaming, although with mixed results. Maybe I should try your approach.

Try the Shadowgate remake. It´s got some hard puzzles.
I'm going to 2nd this opinion. I have not actually got very far into the game myself, but I think it would make an excellent co-op adventure game.

As each person in the room suggests some plan which quickly results in death in each, and you all get to call each other idiots.

Highly recommendable. Anybody got similar stories?

I invited a girl to play Guitar Hero. We got drunk and then we played Guitar Hero naked. Then we had sex.

I once played Guitar Hero with a girl and then she went home :negative:

Which songs did you pick?

Actually I never played Guitar Hero with any girls :smug:
Because I'm forever alone :negative:
Well, actually I'm not, I have sex with girls :smug:
Not during Guitar Hero sessions though :negative:
I guess I'm doing pretty okay?
