Actually... she won the case. I think the guy got a really light sentence, something like 6 months probation, but he definitely lost.

Pedophiles had gotten so used to the "but I didn't know they were on my computer" defense that legislators whipped up new, more recent laws don't even care. If its found on a system you own, you go to jail. Period. You may still fight your court case, but you will always end up on the sex offender list and your life will always be ruined even if you dodge a sentence. According to the letter of the law, Microsoft should be in court over this.
