You either accidentally missed the alien and hit LusciousPear in the back, or you shot him intentionally and failed to score the kill. Either way, you are a clearly a failure and should be ashamed.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed that instead of Floaters we didn't get Sectoids or Snakemen.

About the screenshots, you can either:

• use internal Dosbox "take screenshot" option (ctr+f5); it creates .png files, so you have to convert them to .jpgs later,
• use Hypernsnap-DX, the best program in this field,
• keep using Fraps, but checking from time to time if everything works fine - Ufo combat is turnbased FFS, alt+enter from time to time and check if screenshots are being created.

spekkio, Dosbox screenshots would have that original, non-scaler size so it would look weird now I try out this Hypernsnap-DX, thanks.

What fraps didn't capture:

Excellent job! Only losing the tank and two soldiers while clearing an intact battleship!

Since I can't sleep, here is an update! if you don't like it, there is a minor chance that I get butthurt and remove whole LP.


The large UFO targeted by Skyranger-2 took of, before we get even close. Time for small UFO I guess.

Move it soldiers! Lazor Tank spots first Floater on west. Trash will try to ambush him from behind. Emotional Vampire & sheek our first who will scout the area and GarfunkeL will provide somewhat cover.

After leaving the Skyranger-1, Haba spots Floater with Small Launcher. Haba didn't manage to shoot him even close.

Thrombone replaces Haba, let's hope nothing will get him during Aliens turn.


During scouting, sheek (who was converted for our cause, by simple pleasures) spots another Floater. First shot didn't even scratch the Flaoter...


Floater respond ALMOST hit sheek...


Yet second sheek Lazor shot didn't miss this time


Current Codexia forces placement before ending the turn.


Alien turn and another Floater shows up. Sheek again, delivers


Again, some Floater jumps out from shadows and hurts a tree


It's our time to fight. Thrombone eliminates tree hating Floater.


Andyman Messiah leaves the Skyranger -1 armed with Rocket Launcher, but I got strange feeling we will not use it all all.



For next two turns nothing much happens on both sides.


relootz is the enters the Supply Ship and score a kill. Marvellous!

Time to retreat. Reinforcements are coming, so relootz don't have to worry from being shoot in the back.


Eight turn. relootz takes a peak around a corner, spots another stupid Floater


Reject covers the west part of UFO, Spectacle is behind relootz just in case. Trash will enter the UFO in next turn.


Aliens turn. relootz is under attack! didn't have a slightest chance to react against Floater and his Plasma Pistol.


relootz dies from second Plasma shot


Our turn now and Spectacle avenges relootz the solider outside UFO is sheek, overall his task is to scout UFO surroundings are just in case.


Not much more to do. Reject scouts further the west part, Spectacle & Trash are ready to kick some Alien asses.


Aliens turn. It seems our knocked out Floater show up.


Our turn. This time he won't wake up


Reject, Thrombane & GarfunkeL rush towards the second elevator. sheek will join them soon.


Good Floater is a dead Floater

Spectacle bravely enters unknown second floor.

Spectacle stays in good place to hide for now.


Emotional Vampire stop dreaming about dead cats and returned to cold reality. Thought he is still confused, he grab his Lazor Rifle & run towards the UFO.


Before end of the turn, Thrombone looks into emotionless Floater eyes. Is this the end?
