I actually did a bit of modding to aid the creation of the Polish state myself. I separated the Create Poland decision from the usual national unification decision due to how fucking impossible it was to accomplish within the timeframe, and how ridiculous the size of Poland would be. Instead, Krakow could create Poland by conquering two central states of Poland. I also added Polish culture group to those valid for the unification casus belli.

Adding cores to Krakow in the same provinces Poland has cores is a much simpler approach.

:M

Finally, if you haven't noticed already, I enabled on the right side of the game's interface the display of all battles and occupations. I suppose it'll help understanding the greater picture to take a look at its progress and how the numbers of soldiers get reduced between each screenshot.

The price of Independence

Angels Calling

znuyB.jpg

4822419294_dc31c0de5a.jpg

Too early to celebrate. Once the war of Independence is over, then of course it'll be a time to get drunk like no tomorrow, but until them, people need to focus on their most immediate collective dream of restoring Poland.

KARIn.jpg

v-runs.jpg

While the blood-filled marshes of Korosten are filled with even more blood, in other smaller battles, Poland prevails and the engagements last much less. However, the price is being paid in blood for freeing Warsaw and at the very least every Polish territory west of the Vistula under Russian subjugation.

oh3Ja.jpg

honk077enemyatthegates.jpg

Another great victory ensues in Baranovichi, where Russian forces were encircled and forced to surrender. Unfortunately, with the gross of the Russians being mobilized forces, they can send more of their underclasses to the meatgrinder, and more, and more, and Russia is too large. After seizing most of Ukraine and standing on the gates of St. Petersburg, Krakowian advances have nearly entirely halted in face of such never-ending reserves of Russian soldiers.

iE5mT.jpg

They suffer far greater casualties than Krakowian forces, and yet, no matter how many of them fall, like in that movie Enemy at the Gates, the Russians keep sending more and more cannon fodder to drown the brave freedom fighters of Poland in blood and corpses.

yNQQb.jpg

worldwar-1.jpg

A great victory happens in Latvia, with the Russians losing, once again, hundreds of thousands of soldiers! How can they still keep fighting a war with all those massive casualties? Like Napoleon so harshly learned, never underestimate the Russians, for although this was another incredible victory, it didn't cause enough losses to eliminate the Russian capability of waging war.

xQbml.jpg

skyway will have lots of Potato and reasons to become bitter and angry while KOTOR is awesome nevertheless and Neverwinter Nights 1 gets 85 % rating. Also, another problem with the massive front lines was that, very soon, there were too many divisions and not enough generals to lead all of them, and that was only one of the problems waging war with Russia ensued.

eoIOD.jpg

: x

I forgot how many casualties the Russians took, but as the war score hints, the Battle of Minsk was a spectacular victory for Krakow, while the whitening of Africa carries on.

:incline:

u7Bbs.jpg

However, the situation at the front lines worsen because the Russians keep sending more and more fodder. Victory of Korosten could be a decisive moment, but the Polish soldiers are tied in multiple deadly battles against forces that outnumber them in almost all cases. The great hope however lies in the approaching advance towards St. Petersburg. Now it is obvious there will be the need of more wars to liberate all of Poland because Russia has way too many reserves, and this war has been waging for two years already, with millions of dead in both sides and specially the bloodbath of Korosten which has lasted for nearly the entire length of the war, but at least Warsaw will be liberated, for soon the Russians will suffer a great loss with the Polish flag waving, for a short while, over the Kremlin!

MgMIL.jpg

Yet, no matter the cost, Krakow shall prevail in this war, and the Poles will at last recover Warsaw!

5m6Bk.jpg

There is one good thing about the bloodbath of Korosten. After all the years this seemingly endless battle of hellish trenches has taken, it may lead to the largest loss ever of Russian forces in the entire war, provided the continual rotation of units to keep fighting it can outlast the encircled foes in there. Meanwhile, down south another large amount of Russian forces may end equally defeated and forced to surrender, and yet, the Russian Empire wasn't yet crushed.

wScKs.jpg

For almost two years, Russia has been losing battle after battle and yet they pose a constant menace to the chances of victory of Krakow after all this time, and they keep going on, and on, to die, by the thousands.

By the millions.

Fortunately the situations was drawing close to persuade the Russian Empire to give in a minimum of territory. This bloody war will hopefully not last much longer, and then there will be a time for Krakow to recover and build up for what hopefully shall be the final phase of liberation of Poland. That was what they hoped, a little time to rest and have peace.

Other soundtrack

VsDb5.jpg

But it was a great mistake to not do against Austria the same thing they did against Prussia, and totally crush them by partitioning them into an insignificant country, and now the consequences have come! This time, Austria will be given no mercy once the war with Russia is over! This time the Empire of Austria shall collapse!

And this time, a very bitter event would also ensue:

KSPqK.jpg

For even with the brave Swedes and Dutch supporting the freedom and unity of Poland

:salute:

Poster_Anglio.jpg

The Western Betrayal has happened, and the British Empire, in spite of having been historically an ally or at least sympathetic with Krakow, has sided with the Austrian pigs in this war! It was obvious that West Europe hated Poland, and now, one day the payback shall come! Death to the imperialists and oppressors of Poland!

Right now, the only Great Power that has never acted against the Polish people was Amerikwa. But due to several unknown reasons, an alliance with them was impossible even with their relations being extremely positive. Nevertheless, the greatest challenge to the survival of Krakow has begun, as Austria, their lapdogs and the mighty British Empire band their authoritarian, corrupt and decadent monarchies against freedom, democracy and the emancipation of Poland. No quarter shall be given!

Dbhl4.jpg

Yet, finishing the war with Russia is critical. It must be done as quickly as possible, and for that, St. Petersburg must fall!

7iryR.jpg

Along all these tragic news, some good news come: Krakow earns much prestige with the construction of the Suez channel, which of course, will be off limits to western traitors and Austrian Kraut pigs.

LnACe.jpg

Enough defeats against Russia to convince them of giving up may not that far, fortunately, but unfortunately, the traitors and Austrian pigs began sieges against colonies and cities of Krakow, and the time is running out.

yVDVP.jpg

It will be a time before Saint Petersburg is seized, but there is little time to claim victory of an enough magnitude to convince the Russian Empire of giving up what they want.

c0k3Z.jpg

verdun_dead.jpg

Korosten became a mass graveyard where two hundred thousand men perished for nothing. All Krakow managed in this battle was to buy time, and nothing more, in the end. The situation all over the front begins to become far worse while on the west, the traitors and Austrians advance. Krakow's finest hour has begun.

For these hundreds of thousand of Poles who gave their lives for the liberation of Warsaw, this war with Russia will not be given up, and their names and deeds never be forgotten, for they almost managed to achieve a spectacular victory, almost, yet in doing so they held up legions of Russian forces long enough for Saint Petersburg to fall.

:salute:

RB2JQ.jpg

In spite of the breakdown of everything, Krakow superior training still ensued some victories.

usQnF.jpg

Hopefully there won't be much more time before the Fall of St. Petersburg, for Krakow is running out of time, and although they lost hundreds of thousands in this war, they will have to return home for yet another war as soon as this one is over.

Gpgl6.jpg

Both victories and defeats happen over the colonies, and everything is reaching a climax. With the war involving many European countries over multiple continents, it could be perhaps called the First World War or the Great War, triggered by a struggle for independence and having involved intermitently Prussia, Russia, France, Britain and Austria. A Great War that will shape the future of the European continent, and perhaps of the entire world, for the 20th Century.

MBIiS.jpg

In 14th of November of 1898, The Russians have finally suffered enough to be willing to give in. This day will be forever marked in Polish History as both a day that will live in glory, and as a day which will live in infamy.

For while Warsaw was once again in the hands of Poles,

Really, it's absolutely ridiculous how much land you need to form Poland. I mean, without modding or cheating it's literally impossible to achieve that much conquest.

Warsaw has been liberated but will Krakow survive the ITZ that has turned the western powers into dumbfucks hellbent on crushing the land of the potato?

Also you still need to get what 2 or 3 core regions? Honestly paradox screwed up scripting the forming Poland as a generic "nation unification" decision.

Not only is it ridiculous that you need to so much land but also there s the sheer fact that there is just one polish state on the map so it isn't as much a unification but a liberation and should have a separate script. Something like own 2 core regions and Warsaw and Krakow would have been more appropriate.

Never again we shall be subjugatedl!

Enemy at the Gates

ETOEG.jpg

In face of the massive threat against the sovereignty and liberty of the Polish people, a massed order is given to rise over three quarters of a million soldiers all across the Krakowian lands, which would, once concluded, make the brave Krakowian Armyh into one of the largest and most powerful armies of the world. However, while that is still far from being concluded, the already active forces must hold on and face the invaders on their own.

lJMOF.jpg

Still over Russian soil, they head back home in a march against time, well aware of the consequences of defeat. Along the way, reinforcements arrive and everything is hurried. Looking at the numbers it is possible to witness exactly the cost of freeing Warsaw and all territories west of the Vistula. Yet, among so many casualties, they know very well that there is little time to rest, for the West has betrayed Poland, and now many great powers side together to crush them.

JyWgL.jpg

fk0b4o.jpg

All able-bodied men were called to defend the sovereignty of their home against the British, Austrian and lapdog invaders. They bade farewell to their families as they embarked in a war that would shape the future of Central Europe for perhaps the entirety of the coming 20th Century, aware that many of them would not return home. However, death was preferable to allow their families to be raped and exploited by the imperialist tyrants of Austria and Germany.

hq6HV.jpg

The tales of the brave men in Brno who rose in arms against the invaders would be counted for the times to come. In spite of being fully aware on how near everywhere around them was surrounded by the enemies, they still answered bravely the call, and fought as long as they could, but upon realizing their chances, they managed to make a risky escape towards the neutral Slovakia. The enemy advanced dangerously close to the heart of Poland while most of the Army was understrength and disorganized. The situation was critical.

jijbW.jpg

Yet, superior training and superior weaponry allowed the Polish forces to inflict far disproportionate casualties against the Austrian forces in Lvov and Cernauti. The question was whether they could, in spite of their horrible organization, weather out both offensives or not.

WcO6i.jpg

Lvov becomes a legendary victory! The Austrian forces suffer a humiliating defeat with heavy casualties: for every brave Pole that fell defending Lvov, more than eight Austrian pigs died!

: x

NxaPg.jpg

Over the African front lines of this truly World War, the situation is more complicated due to more limited forces, but along some setbacks, Poland achieves considerable victories. However, Vietnam and Siam look like lost causes, yet those defending both shall fight to the end.

CKdZ8.jpg

Have you noticed the rain?

ChFIQ.jpg

Thanks to the Swedish allies, Copenhagen is successfully defended, while the situation greatly improves when compared to how bleak it was by the beginning of this war. Perhaps it will be time for payback! To crush the Austrian, to free the peoples they oppress through force of arms and weaken them further as a lesson so that they never again dare to try destroying the liberty of Poland! And if they dare, we shall fight and free Hungary perhaps, and continue doing so until they give up or become a powerless country like Prussia right now!

: x

2ziai.jpg

At this rate, it won't be longer before the Austrians are taught a lesson on why it is not a good idea to threaten the freedom of Krakow! Soon Vienna shall fall over Polish hands and the Krakowian flag shall proudly hang from its streets!

Y5XuU.jpg

When the tide was clearly turned, rather than being satisfied with a white peace that would only delay another back-stabbing war like this, the Polish authorities make it clear their intent of weakening Austria by liberating the Czechs they have long oppressed as a lesson.

0LA7F.jpg

Through the use of massed encirclements, Krakows continues to crush the Austrian and lapdog forces, while fortunately, no signs of British ground forces appear, in spite of the awareness of how large the British army is. Perhaps they are a bit reluctant to waste lives for the cause of the imperialistic ambitions of a frivolous and decadent bunch of inbreds like the Habsburgs.

rzt9h.jpg

Or perhaps, after perceiving the massed incompetence and failure of the Austrians to subjugate the brave Potato, they simply gave up any tries of risking their armies of being massacred by encirclements, for everywhere in Europe, the only of all front lines that is truly important, the Austrians and their lapdogs were folding.

fnx1A.jpg

Since the last war against Austria, part of the Krakowian forces became stranded in lapdog territory along a barrier of bureaucratic mess, which was mostly convenient to crush quickly one of the lapdogs as soon as the war was restarted. Meanwhile, even in Africa the Austrians are prone to, in spite of their superior numbers there, blatant incompetence.

H7YMk.jpg

By June of 1899, the Polish soldiers began to advance against Austrian territory, and Bohemia itself would soon be freed. The war was costly, but on overall, now it was Krakow who was emerging victorious, in spite of the number of enemies they faced.

ytWMz.jpg

Dumb lolbertarians! Surely contributing for the chances of an absolutist monarchy seizing the most progressive democracy of the world will be a great aid to their cause! Rising in arms against the government, there is only one fate left for them, but for now, the only choice is to allow their rampage to move for a while, for they are nothing more than a nuisance, and pose no real threat.

4q7sZ.jpg

Why? Didn't you want to subjugate Poland? In a war you started, if you lose, you'll have to bend over to have it ended. And now our Potato brothers of the Czech Republic must be freed, lest Austria is crushed by total occupation over years and more years!

jUJAn.jpg

4qnb87.jpg

Along the war, while total victory draws near, more decline of the Western Civilization continues to march. This is the price to pay for being the most progressive democracy of the world.

Male25.jpg

vqN44.jpg

Austria, all their allies and lapdogs shall pay a hefty price yet. Sooner or later Krakow shall, for the sake of defending the sovereignty of the Polish people, unleash a devastating new kind of weapon against the invaders, while of course designing appropriate protection for it so that those deploying it won't be harmed. And perhaps after that they will agree to free another people, because only Bohemia is not enough after all they have done against the Polish people.

N2bBt.jpg

They made a horrible strategic decision, by giving too much priority to Africa. Yet, even at far numerical superiority, over there, they end losing many battles. A great battle continues to claim countless British casualties over Egypt, and while the glorious Potato rise victorious everywhere, one of the greatest powers shall be humbled.

KI7UU.jpg

Next time, Sea Lion might not be treated as just a madman's dream, although Krakow will need a long time to develop a proper and modern Navy, and in truth, there are more important fields of research and closer and more clear threats than the shifty British.

Oc6Hu.jpg

With the British Empire out of the war, the situations shifts even more in favor of Krakow, and thus, perhaps it is time to free more fellow potato eaters from the Kraut tyranny.

IWbf9.jpg

Without Bohemia and Serbia, Austria will end even more weakened should they dare to start another war against Poland. Hopefully they won't, and once the final war against Russia is finished, Poland can at last enjoy some decades of lasting peace as one of the most powerful nations of the world.

232ze.jpg

Military directionism is developed, and now Krakow begins to modernize infantry equipment. The new bolt-action rifles will allow for much faster rates of fire compared to old rifles, while also being far more accurate. Combined with machineguns, they will make Krakow a mighty army, but that is just the beginning of many projects for this new century.

6bIgd.jpg

2j69uo0.jpg

In their last, desperate offensives, the Austrians become the first armies in History to perish through use of chemical weapons like the Deadly Potato Gas. After seeing the casualty reports, although not as devastating as nuclear weapons, the combination of these weapons over all battles still being fought combined with the fact pretty much the entirety of Austria, Bavaria and all other lapdogs over Europe has fallen utterly shatters the morale of the remnants of the Austrian army, forcing their government, exiled in Africa, to come to the table.

FskXv.jpg

And thus, the beginning of the 20th century is marked by the solidification of Krakow's sovereignty, while the truce with Russia hangs on, but nobody expects anything but a new war for the other Polish territories still under Russian occupation as soon as it is over, a war that perhaps shall be the final war for the independence of Poland.

fxTQe.jpg

Meanwhile, although disgruntled on how part of their historical lands have been seized by Krakow, the Czechs cheer as Prague is once again theirs, and a new alliance is springing up, with the Germans ever weakened and the West Slavs ever stronger, as they approach together not only among themselves, but also among the Swedes and Dutch, who are both allied with the Potato in a powerful alliance, which may yet incorporate other nations freed from their oppressors, like Finland. The final war is coming, as people cheer over their recent victory! A new age of Polish supremacy over both Central and Eastern Europe may yet mark the dawn of the 20th Century!

The Final Liberation of Poland is Coming

Music

islfe.jpg

To gather new allies before the war, Poland is exerting great influence over the Ottoman Empire, which has been superceded by, of all possible countries, Chile, which has been for a while the 8th Great Power of the world, specially after their invasion of Argentina that delivered much butthurt to its skyway clone: 1eyedking.

T56eb.jpg

Former colonies are, over the years, becoming proper states, and with a very large population of Poles, Micronesia becomes the next phase of this transformation.

2hRwi.jpg

Being the most progressive and free nation of the world is of little relevance for all the armed troublemakers wanting to violently topple the government. While hundreds of new brigades were being readied in preparation for the ultimate war of Polish Independence and freedom, Commies once again are on the prowl. A nuisance that poses no significant threat, but nevertheless a nuisance.

JGqEN.jpg

The incline of Africa carries on, as the growth of white people in Gabon allows it to become civilized enough for being a proper state. But there is much yet left to incline.

LHwAN.jpg

Pensions are implemented. Very poor ones that can barely allow a person to buy one bread a day, but with the militancy such measure generates, the Upper House is, ironically, open to give immediately a raise to these pensions. Another important reform that will reduce emigration and perhaps draw a few more immigrants due to better living and working conditions. However, of all political decisions before the war that was to be fought for freeing all Poland for once, none has been more polemic and arguable than one:

7OBVc.jpg

:decline: :decline: :decline: :decline:

aVc1M.jpg

Krakowian Micronesia will be greatly transformed by small-time industrialization.

qQUvQ.jpg

Military specialists believe that in the future, a new war machine may greatly change the way wars are fought. Prototypes for the so called barrel, an armored vehicle on tracks with a big gun, are already developed but it'll take many months before such ideas can become a reality.

FGVg4.jpg

Moneysinks, after all, what could really be found of worth in the middle of Antarctica? Why bother travelling there? Being a Great Power, sometimes you ought to do things just because other Great Powers are doing them so if you don't you'll lose prestige.

:M

oK2yW.jpg

Also, with the development of bolt-action rifles, the uniforms of Krakowian solders are somewhat changed too to something more utilitarian and better camouflaged than those brighty blue caps that almost made them look like UNfags. I'd edit in gasmasks though.

iid7j.jpg

A new, strong alliance is forged to help Poland in its effort to deliver a final, crushing blow against Russia, even before the Ottoman Empire is dragged into Krakow's sphere of influence. All this while most of the potato people survive, as clearly it is great wisdom to use towelheads and niggers as front line troops while leaving the white man back.

:incline:

SkTkN.jpg

Emigration is strong all across the world, but big as it is, Krakow's population growth is totally unaffected by such migrations to Kwanzania and Thirdworldia.

0xP94.jpg

A border incident happens with Netherlands, but the degenerate Dutch sodomites are allies of the Potato. Thus they let it slide this time.

PWHAM.jpg

With the most important military research fields done for, it's time for some internal development of culture as a means of making the already highly technologically advanced Krakow even more advanced.

8EATI.jpg

:obviously:

A very important discovery happens in Egypt, about the people who lived there before the sandnigger hordes. Such discovery of this thousand years old ancient tomb of an Egyptian king brings much glory and prestige for Krakow, and in spite of superstitions, no undead comes out of it, nor any curse.

2CX9i.jpg

The army's ultimate role is to fight against oppressors and enemies of the Polish people, not to fight against the people themselves. So those fat cats better deal with it and shut the fuck up because the brass won't shoot unarmed people involved in peaceful manifestations. These man may be all turned up right now, but the socialists themselves never caused trouble. The commies advocating violent revolution and the lolbertarian anarcho-capitalists are the nuisances, not them, and once the time comes to finish off what was start through all these years, regardless of ideology, all Poles will bad together for such a cause.

:salute:

lVTX8.jpg

More incline in Africa.

E1iye.jpg

hitler_and_nazis.jpg

Mass Politics will slowly rise over Potatoland, but they will be no threat to the glory of freedom and democracy it stands for. The same however cannot be said regarding the hostile Austrian and Kraut neighbors, where fascism is slowly climbing up in popularity.

nAZAi.jpg

Damn it! Another investment for nothing! But at least, soon the truce will be over. The Final Liberation of Poland, the day generations have worked for and dreamed about, is very close. Much blood will be shed, but the cause is just, and it will be worth it.

PPSBF.jpg

It all would begin about the matter of Brest-Litovski, but provided Russia falls, every historical Polish land shall be reclaimed, and beyond. Perhaps even the glorious Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth shall rise of out of this!

: x

69rqe.jpg

The Scandinavians have been a considerable help in the war against Austria and once again they shall be.

:salute:

Initial plans for advancing against the enemy territory, greatly strengthened with the Ottoman alliance granting a second entry point against the Russian Empire are launched as it follows:

eUyJc.jpg

Gj7dh.jpg

Over three hundred brigades are deployed thus, with the goal of utterly crushing the Russian Army first, and occupying territory second, they advance with only a few staying behind for occupations, and although caught unprepared, the Russians quickly launch their legions. Will the Deadly Potato Gas this time ensure that there will be no stalemate? That remains to be seen. The mistakes of the previous war of putting too many soldiers to stay behind occupying territory won't be made again, for sure.

YDxA5.jpg

Unprepared, hastily mobilized forces are utterly wiped out and forced to surrender as Potato Gas crushes any will to resist in those poor peasants from other nations forced to fight for Russia. Speaking on mobilization, this time, Krakow was confident enough that so far, no Poles were mobilized. Mostly machete gangs and ragheads would be among Krakowian casualties. No big deal. Three major battles carry on.

4ZjyS.jpg

All initial battles are featured by crushing victories, but will this continue only to end like the deadly stalemate of the previous war against Russia?

PHVeN.jpg

So far, it seems that not, but it is too early to gauge how much of an issue the Russian Army will be.

ngujf.jpg

After some weeks, however, the Russian hordes arrive to the battlefield. Multiple battles are fought against gigantic army formations, and in Mozyr, a few vastly outnumbered brave men try to hold their ground against one of such legions. The outcome of these battles may very well define the entire war. Will Russian endless reserves ensure the chemical weapons run out first than their cannon fodder? Or will Krakow finally become the resurrected Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth?

Can we expect to see a Greater Potatolandic Republic after Poland herself is united?

Depends on what you mean by that. I think pretty much all of former Polish-Lithuania will be taken after this war, and I'll add an event to add "Lithuanian" as an accepted culture.

Poland_First_To_Fight.jpg

Final Liberation of Poland and Finland

hwQrn.jpg

The Russians lose another important battle as the Polish forces are facing larger and larger numbers. Chemical weapons, justifiable as an instrument of freedom fighters against imperialism, have served as massive force multipliers coupled with the fact Krakowian army has also better equipment and technology in nearly every field compared to Russia. The casualty ratios are ridiculous, and the Russian army morale is breaking apart. But for all the dreams of the Polish people to come true, it'll be necessary to destroy all the Russian capability of fighting first.

EcSyq.jpg

Quickly mass encirclements are made as the Russian casualties rack up in the hundreds of thousands.

ndt8G.jpg

A naval battle between steamer transports may be the only naval battle in the entire war, as in this field, nothing will really matter for the final outcome, and with a much bigger fleet, Swedish and Krakowian merchant navies will definitively put those ships, probably loaded with troops, down.

huVmf.jpg

Even when terrain and rivers favor their defense, they are still being soundly beaten with heavy casualties. Surely, this war still had a cost in lives for Krakow, but the way it is going, for each dead Krakowian soldier there will be like ten Russian cannon fodders dead.

WYGuX.jpg

Napoleon must be rolling over in his grave while potato eaters prove to be far more awesome than he ever dreamed of against Russia. Soon the Kremlin shall fall again to Polish hands. The Russian army is being routed on every front, no exceptions.

IhqA6.jpg

British_Mark_I_male_tank_Somme_25_September_1916.jpg

The first functional tanks came off too late to make any difference in this already ongoing war, but should imperialists ever try to subjugate Poland again, then their ambitions will be crushed over their treads.

DZBfG.jpg

Regardless, immediately a order for nearly one hundred armored brigades is given as Krakow military commanders believe these barrels willl be the future of warfare. Now, with an interventionist economy, Krakow's government cannot order the construction of barrel factories and instead hope the "market" will recognize the demand and do it on its own, which means getting these brigades operational will take much longer than normal unless a party that advocates state capitalism is elected, which is unlikely because it was the Catholic Party's governments that ensured Krakow's rise, and their morale won't be easily faded.

yx7I7.jpg

Countless Russian brigades are encircled in Kaluga, where soon reinforcements will arrive to aid the offensive, and now, Moscow will soon be occupied. With Moscow and St. Petersburg fallen, the Russian Empire will lose any ability of fighting back and turning the tide of the conflict.

UpSQQ.jpg

As it is clear now that the enemy will be totally broken, Krakow can be assured this will be the final war. The return of all historical Polish-Lithuanian land will be one of the demands for the occupation of Russia to be ended.

Lvq0D.jpg

Tsaritsyn, also known in other times as Volgograd, or Stalingrad, becomes the last big city of Russia to fall. Once St. Petersburg, Moscow and Tsaritsyn are fully under Krakowian control, although perhaps a bit excessive to claim, victory is due.

t9L2Y.jpg

1st of July, 1904. Napoleon is full of envy. The Russian Army has been all but wiped out, and although they keep mobilizing fodder to try reverting the situation, everything is clear now. As long as Krakow can rapidly deploy men to counter the stacks and encircle them, only time separates the Polish people from the greatest victory of all their history. However, why keep this oppressive, corrupt, feudal and decadent Empire intact besides freeing Poland? With the near certainty of total victory, another people shall be benefitted:

0bJ0w.jpg

And thus the Potato-Scandinavian Alliance will grow even stronger, should Krakow achieve a total victory! And awesome snipers to kill Russians should they try to invade Poland and Finland again as a bonus, and of course, Lithuanian hitmen too.

vEVao.jpg

Progress in technology continues to be focused on culture for now. Finishing the Psychology fields to ensure maximum efficiency in organization regain and on how fast casualties are reinforced, while opening the field of radios as the newest form of entertainment and information delivery for business, will be helpful for the reborn Poland-Lithuania.

SQ2ou.jpg

Damn, these Russians really have too many cannon fodder, considering Siberia has been breached already, and the economical heart of Russia was conquered. Yet, the superior technology and training of Krakowian forces shall prevail. Yet, they have been almost lowered to nothing by the war. Their standing army was wiped out, most of their wealthiest territories already fell, but for all intended goals, Krakow needed to deliver a truly crushing blow.

The battle reached a grave point. The infantry forces were barerly holding up the artillery from being crushed, and alone they were outnumbered by Russian infantry at much, much more than just 40:1, and yet, for every of them who fell, many more Russian pigs did. The war might have already been won, but no battle has been more legendary, to be perhaps the most remembered battle of all the Final Liberation War, than the battle of Sarapul, where, hoping for reinforcements, three thousand men continued fighting and dying, never flinching even against the legions, even after over nine tenths of them perished, the survivors didn't give up.

While miraculously they continued to keep the legions of Russian forces busy, and finally reinforcements were arriving at Sarapul, another important battle is won in spite of the enemy's superior numbers. It becomes a costly victory, but still with greater casualties for the Russians.

While Russia was on the verge of total defeat, it seems that some commies never learn. They won't cause any serious damage, and thus are for now ignored. For the focus must be all on the final liberation right now. Some troops that remained behind in occupations will take care of the reds, by making them dead.

Poland could choose between using this devastating victory to free small pieces of oppressed peoples, or to free the entire territory of one people. Believing one strong ally is better than many weak ones, they impose another war goal: more freedom for Finland. Maybe they'll even cause enough Havoc to get Karelia back as well.

:salute:

The Battle of Sarapul will be forever remembered and highlighted as the most legendary of all battles in Russia. Something that started by one infantry and one artillery brigade caught unprepared, six thousand men, that even with Potato Gas, had all odds against them facing more than one hundred thousand Russian soldier. Under such situation, untermensch wouldn't fight with utmost bravery until the arrival of reinforcements, but instead flee. 88763 Russians dead, and all survivors forced to surrender as they had nowhere to retreat. From the original infantry brigade of three thousand men, the Forlorn hope of Sarapul, only about two hundred survived, who will all be commended with many medals and be all promoted for their utmost courage to press on an offensive in spite of being completely outnumbered by and far, and the artillerymen also had their promotions and medals for not retreating in spite of how risky their position was with the front line infantry dangerously on the verge of being totally wiped out.

After this victory, it was believed the Russians wouldn't send more fodder at such high numbers.

The inventor of Potato Gas, which also was responsible for many important breakthroughs in non-military fields that greatly changed the world, would bring much prestige to Krakow as he was given the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, causing immense butthurt among the Germans, Austrians and Russians watching the event.

It was only logical that after the certainty Russia will be 100% under occupation if they don't fold, Karelia should be added as a war goal for Finland to become as strong as possible. Krakow was fighting not only for the freedom of their people, but also for the freedom of other peoples. What kind of scum would oppose such a noble cause? Only countries that deserved to take rains of Potato gas for their corruption, decadency and imperialism!

AoAYI.jpg

Because "infamy" rose 0.03 points above the arbitrary maximum accepted by the other great powers, shit hit the fan, and Poland can't be formed during wars. The French, siding with those gooks who, somehow, westernized and became a great power, thus demand to crush the dreams of Poland and Finland, but they lack a direct border with Krakow, which is both good and bad. Good because it means there will be no serious threat to the territory that matters. Bad because they can't be taught a lesson this way as Krakow lacks a Navy strong enough to safely move troops and force them to raise the white flag.

Yet, over the colonies, this disrepect, this total indignity and absurd of being against the noble cause of liberating oppressed peoples and considering nations who do so infamous, damage is inevitable, and without the chances of forging a naval might, the colonial forces will have to either hold their ground on their own or perish.

And as if things couldn't be bad enough, the traitorous pigs from the West are now all set on against Poland, again. A pity Krakow has no navy, otherwise a Sealion would be a humbling lesson to those imperialist tyrants. The good news is that, as Russia does not grant military access to China either, these acts won't interfere with the soon to be finsihed war for Freedom. Fighting for freedom, in this corrupt and decadent world, gains not recognition, but infamy. Perhaps in the next ten years Poland could research and rise a mighty enough navy to give these pigs a lesson. But that is for the future. Right now, there is a war to be finished.

Once St. Petersburg falls, the Russian Tzar finally folds, and hastily, Krakow presses them to do what they want.

However, before Krakow can finally officially become Poland, the imperialists must be dissuaded from trying to crush the dreams of the Polish people. Over Helsinki, many celebrations are held in spite of the massive amount of Ukrainian immigrants all over Finland that were part of a Russian attempt to destroy the culture of the peoples they subjugated through multikult. On the other hand, Finland had a larger adult male population of 1.4 million inhabitant than it would have otherwise.

After the war, Russia erupts into chaos. With their standing army totally crushed, Communists begin to occupy most of the western border territories and the revolution tide sweeps across Ukraine. This time, due to how devastating the war was, they might win.

Due to the pigs of the west, the Forming of Poland couldn't yet be made. But a question remains: is there any further price to pay after all these decades of struggle, as now Krakow is Poland, and more, in all but name?

Inventing shit that kills lots of people is truly Alfred Noble's legacy. There was definitely nobody better suited to receive this glorious award.

Where to now, Great Captain? Maybe try to claim the #1 Great Power slot, or can your industry not match France and Great Britain?
Assuming British India mod is not used, it's impossible to match Britain's industry. If it's not used, it's impossible to match the industry of Russia or USA.

Cool LP. For the glory of the potato, keep it up! :salute:

Kind of off topic:

I've tried playing Vicky 2 myself, but it seems to me like the game plays itself a little too much, with me only moving my armies around, starting wars, researching tech and painting the map. I guess I might have been playing it wrong, and while I realize the game is one of those "set your own goal" games, the interaction level seems pretty low to me.

so what did Sweden gain from this war?

Had the AI decided to never enact the "Abandon Finland" decision, they'd have gained North and South Finland but not Karelia as they have no cores in it. And with both they'd be a stronger ally, and I usually prefer less but stronger allies than several weaker ones.

But the AI always choose "Abandon Finland", thus, while Finland gained everything, Sweden gained nothing, but being in Potato sphere of influence, their loyalty is unwavering even if they gain nothing with it besides the gratitude and protection of the Poles.

On the contrary, unless you start with one of the great powers, there is always a lot to do. First of all, you should always try to get a party with State Capitalist economy so, when necessary, you can decide to build and subsidize that barrel factory, or that artillery factory when production of either has gone to a halt due to lack of resources in the world market or internally, and because AI-controlled capitalists mostly starts unprofitable/low profit factories and do a lot of stupid decisions, which is why laissez-faire is the worst economic model until you have a well established industrial infrastructure(including airplane and tank factories), which happens by the late game only, after which it may be worthwhile to go laissez-faire for convenience sake as it gives bonuses to production output.

Parties are elected by issues rather than ideology, if you start as a democracy, and thus if the State Capitalist party is the only "Jingoist" one, for example, answer the events on politics in a way to always increase Jingoism(and obviously State Capitalism as well) as most supported issues, and eventually the party that advocates State Capitalism will be elected, but if you're a monarchy of any kind, you can simply choose a State Capitalist party instead of that elections trifle.

Also the use of national focus to promote craftsmen(when industrializing), clergy(when your country starts as a Third world shithole with around 20% or less literacy) and colonization(more important than everything else you could use a National Focus for when possible IMO) is critical unless you start as Great Britain which is cruise control for automatic win regardless of what you do. As for POP, the biggest thing that made the first Vicky unfun was the hell POP micromanagement was, so personally I approved its removal.

Only things I still wish for is that you could set up for forts to be automatically built in all of your provinces if you have the tech and resources, and that capitalists could build and expand harbors instead of only railways.
