Silven Crossroads felt the urge to post <a href=http://www.silven.com/pcmac.asp?case=showreview&reviewid=39&gameid=61&pageid=1>something[/url] about The Roots. Unfortunately, they didn't have any actual info, so they posted a feature list instead. Cool.

The list includes but not limited to:
• Immersive and ever-evolving storyline with sudden plot twists.
• Meet over 120 NPCs.
• Encounter various intriguing characters, many of whom will join your party as you take on the quest to save the world.
• Travel through many different environments including primeval forests, cursed swamps, mysterious lakes and islands in the sky as you explore the world of Lorath.
• Explore mysterious dungeons and face the evils therein as you search for ancient artifacts.
• Find and use as you see fit over 400 items and 70 spells.
• Use swords, magic and utilize special abilities of team members as you face the hordes of evil.
• Encounter over 100 monsters and other enemies.
• Summon mystical creatures to help your cause.
• Challenging mini-games to provide some variety in the gameplay including Ballooncraft Race, an arcade-style air-racing game, and Trion, an original logic game.
• Moods and emotions visualized in expressive communication.
• Breath-taking special effects during combat.
• Stunning cut scenes produced using Motion Capture technology.
• Stunning movie-like music.
Ballooncraft Race? Emotionally expressive communications (I sense lotsa angst)? Breath-taking special effects? Does nobody care about actual gameplay anymore?
