Tags: Alexander: The Heroes HourBoomtown has posted a beat down review of Alexander: the Heroes Hour. The score is a brutal 3/10, hammering most everything about the game. Here's a part about the missions:
Did I say battle? I really meant to say wedding, since the first mission requires you to act as the bouncer at some royal type's nuptials. In essence, this involves roaming around the map, attacking anyone not wearing a pink carnation and dying frequently, since the difficulty level of the game is ridiculously high.I don't think I've ever heard that scenario before in a CRPG. Of course, if you're fighting to the death at a wedding, then there's something really messed up going on in the world.
Just for kicks, here's the only comment on the review:
It's a real shame that the reviewer apparenlty didn't bother to play the game for more then fifteen minutes. While it's not the best in the world, it's a fine game that deserves a better score. Mouse controls are overly complex but surely any PC gamer is now familiar with the concept and operation of 'hot-keys'. The pause function (aka spacebar) is easy to get to grips with and makes the game a lot easier to play. And while the sound is mince the graphics are of a very high quality.Meh, pause.
