What I dislike about these games is that you have to read wikis or walkthroughs to learn about certain basic aspects of the gameplay, such as that in DS2 you can search for hidden doors/passages by using the action button (in DaS and DeS by hitting with a weapon). Like, how the heck was I supposed to know that?

It's hard to resist wanting to read info on the net when the manual lacks this sort of thing. But once you start doing that you never know when to stop...

Some walls still break, too, so you're never REALLY sure -- tho I found I quickly adopted the 'press a' approach once I saw a very obvious hidden door that didn't break open when struck.

I guess the balanced approach would be play blind first time then read up on stuff later (or, go off hints I guess -- alll the false flags, hehe)

game is way to easy... I love this game, only because it was superer hard lol. DS1 was much more challenging
