People think minor pandering to China is bad in movies now, just you wait.

Wait a bit more, then. We've already seen Ubisoft removing booze and a sexy neon sign from a strip club in rambo six siege.

Sounds like heaven for SJWs. Can we get them all deported to China?

China, they had to remove x things, sexy strip sign, skull icons and imagery (locusts get 2spooked), alcohol references, and a whole bunch of random nitpicky things or be banned by China. Read the Rainbow Six Siege thread it's all laid out in there. Instead of just maintaining two versions of the game they decided to remove said things from all versions of the game being the french cucks they are.

They changed their mind after the players complained (notice the tone of the author), but it's clear that future content will be developed with the silly old bear's sensibilities in mind.

It's not like the AAA industry was making games for me in the first place so them starting to pander to china doesn't affect me in any significant way.

Well, it's easy to see that when China become major producer and Chinese got somewhat reasonably paid jobs they can afford stuff, they started spending to shiny stuff like games.

But from what I remember from socialistic macro economy, it has strong negative effect on trade balance, and economy could go to fuckers just because foreign companies are gold mining population of socialistic country. Basically money spend on games are going out of country for no benefit whatever.
