    WAIT, WHAT'S THIS?
In 2007, a KOTOR Modder (Yeah, a modding community for these games does exist) named Silveredge9 released a mod, Brotherhood of Shadow, a modification for the first Knights of the Old Republic game, adding a load of new content, a whole new questline, to the main game.
In 2009, Silveredge released the sequel, Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge. Not only was this a sequel, also included was the first mod, completely revamped with new textures, better writing and of course a changed ending so that it ties into the sequel.

Here's the Filefront review if anyone is interested.

I'm going to play through this mod, from start to finish. It is actually a great mod, and nowadays it would probably be DLC-worthy as the amount of content and the quality of the said content is amazing.

    01 - Favor for a Rodian
    Show Spoiler

We start off in Dreshdae, Korriban, for now, I've taken HK-47 and Canderous (they're the least wimpy of the bunch)

To start the mod, you need to get to the cantina, get close enough to this Rodian NPC and you'll trigger his dialouge.

[IMG] I am in need of your help. I'm currently in a buisiness negotiation wi...
[IMG] I am not here to run errands for you, Rodian.
[IMG] ...With an organisation called the Exchange. I'm sure you've heard of them, yes?
[IMG] Smugglers, murderers, mercenaries... the Exchange are scum.
[IMG] Yes, that is the Exchange I know.
[IMG] I was scheduled to represent the Orion in a meeting with one of the Exchange newest and most ruthless members, Daemon Drexl. A man who himself was once the Orion's captain.
[IMG] The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the delivery of a certain "merchandise" that Daemon Drexl - whilst as captain - had promised to deliver to his allies in the Exchange as a token of his gratitude. The Orion's new captian has now decided that it would no longer be appropriate of us to deliver that "merchandise".

Oh... sounds like nothing could go wrong at all...

    Well we're not stupid

[IMG] What exactly is this "merchandise"?
[IMG] The "merchandise" is an item of great importance. Beyond that, I cannot say more.

    :nocountryforshitposters:

[IMG] Why do you need me?
[IMG] Daemon Drexl fully expects that we will conform to his demands and relinquish to him the "merchandise". When he learns that we have decided against that, he will not be pleased. This is why we need someone to take my place and weather the consequences of his anger. Someone like you.

So what he 'really' needs is someone to play as his meat shield and take all the blame... Just fucking great.

[IMG] Where will this meeting take place?

Instead of asking why in the name of the seven kingdoms we would allow ourselves to be used like that and display some sense of self preservation, instead we opt for determined curiousity... (Just like in most RPGs)

[IMG] The meeting was arranged to take place on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. There you will be safe from the prying eyes of the Republic, or the Sith.

Didn't Obi-Wan call Tatooine a wretched hive of scum and villainy?
    Oh well... adventure awaits!

[IMG] I don't work for free, Rodian.
[IMG] Yes, a reward will await you on your return. Thank you for your help Codexer.

Now all we need to do is get to Tato-

Oh for fuck's sake :x I forgot about the crappy X-Wing type shooting sequence, which pops up when you're traveling between planets. It doesn't always trigger, but when it does you never really expected (or wanted) it. What's so stupid about this miningame is that the fighters are very hard to hit, and only when they come at you from a certain direction/angle can you score a hit.

    Pfew, last of em...

Anyway, here we are on Tatooine. It doesn't take to long to find Drexl, who is surrounded by his goons and droids. What could possibly go wrong?

I think it's a nice touch Silveredge9 didn't think about just writing a great story addon for KOTOR. He also managed to include some roleplaying options, these aren't neccesarily dark vs. light, more of playing a different 'attitude'.

[IMG] How do you know that name? Are you part of the surveillance team?
[IMG] I am here on behalf of the Rodian Drix Keliwt. I am attending this meeting in his place.
[IMG] I had known that the Rodian was a fool, but not that he was also a coward. It seems his new captain has become soft on his crew and weakness has formed where there was once strength.

Well it's not your ship anymore Drexl, sod off.

[IMG] He has his reasons, I assure you.
[IMG] Then this topic is no longer worthy of our discussion. Shall we move onto more pressing matters?
[IMG] I assume that the Rodian has informed you of the situation? He is to relinquish to me the item of great importance that I was schedulded to deliver to an associate of mine whilst I was still the Orion's captain. It is a simple transaction, nothing more.

[IMG] I am well aware of the details.
[IMG] Then our buisness is now concluded. The Orion will deliver the "merchandise" to the agreed location, and I will deposit a generous sum of credits into one of the Orion's Nar Shaddaa bank accounts.

What is the deal with this damn "merchandise" anyway?

Wow, the 2nd option is just too good not to pick :smug:

    Uhm... wait what?

Luckily the fight isn't too hard. Drexl has a blaster by default, but will switch to melee if we get in close. He has two droids backing him up, as well as 6 goons who Canderous and HK are dealing with.

It certainly helps my character is a level 19 Jedi and he's horribly overpowered at this point. Force storm can take care of pretty much anything.

I wonder what gave me away? My lightsabers? My force storm? Or the fact I was wearing Jedi robes and waving my sabers around the whole time...

And he runs away like a little baby.. Just look at him run, that is the sight of someone who has completely given up.

Oh well.. at least nobody died.

Ecxept for a few thugs and a few droids

Oh and Drexl wasn't too happy. Let's tell Drix

    :x

[IMG] As you requested, I have met with Daemon Drexl.
    [IMG] You have? What happened?
[IMG] We spoke, we fought, and I emerged victorious.
[IMG] Then the meeting has turned out as I had feared. I was right to seek your help.
[IMG] What has happened to Daemon Drexl? You have killed him, yes?
[IMG] Daemon Drexl still lives. He escaped.
[IMG] Even in defeat Daemon Drexl will not give up. He will still devote his efforts and the entirety of his resources to claiming this "merchandise" for himself. He was always stubborn... even as captain.
[IMG] That isn't my problem, I have fulfilled my part of the bargain.
[IMG] Here is the reward as promised.
[IMG] Again I thank you for your help Codexer. I see now it was wise to enlist you.
[IMG] Which is why I must as of you another favor. In your absence I discussed the situation with my cap'n and he is very interested in enlisting your aid for what is now a very important venture.
[IMG] It is too dangerous for me to linger here. You must visit the Anchorhead cantina on the planet of Tatooine and seek out a Bith named Ponda H'tiba. He will tell you everything.

Here's where you get the chance to stop the questline. It makes sense, seeing how Drix put us in danger because he's such a coward. To continue with the mod we have to 'consider' (read accept) his offer.

Well if you stress it that much, he's gotta be important...

Anyway, one quick trip to Tatooine (luckily no fighters this time)

Please, all you need is two lightsabers upgraded to the max, force storm and a very exploitable game engine.

    And so... it begins...

Last time we left Codexer, our hero, he boarded the trader Ship Orion, after cutting down a few Exchange thugs and saving a damnsel in distress blasting through a few sith fighters.

    [IMG] It was my pleasure.
[IMG] I'm sure you've found your quarters adequate for what has already been a long journey. For the moment it seems, luck is on our side. The Exchange is nowhere to be found.
    [IMG] I have some questions.
[IMG] I'm sure you do, but I am not the one to answer them. Speak with the Cap'n. He will answer any questions you have, yes?
[IMG] Ok, I will be going now.
[IMG] Very well, I will be on the bridge with the Cap'n. You should speak with him.

    Music

It's really obvious the Orion is a retextured Endar Spire module, though the ship doesn't spin around like we have motion sickness, and there are no Sith fighters flying about.

Hey you know what we should do, alone on this ship with no one to stop us?

    Let's fuck shit up.

    [IMG] What?

    This conversation is so... enlightening....

The droid then proceeds to blow up in our face, whoops.

Uh-oh, seems the ship's mechanic isn't too happy about it.

Hey it's just one astromech droid, he was probably running on Windows XP anyway...

Bitch yo don't wanna see me get ma saber groove on yo...

    Wait.. captain?

Damn, that trick ussually works in most RPGs

    [IMG] I'll be going.
[IMG] Just don't touch anything anywhere, Murglak.

    What's this guy's problem.

The Orion's packed with NPCs crewmembers but also some droids. All have something (wierd) to say...

There are also some metal boxes which contain some supplies, nothing really fancy though.

We are then greeted by this 'humble mandalorian'. Huh, that's two words I'd thought I'd never have to use in the same sentence.

    [IMG] "Humble Mandalorian?"

    :smug:

[IMG] You were raised on Coruscant?

I can't really picture a whealthy Coruscant family taking in a Mandalorian kid, especially during the Mandalorian Wars. But hey, it's not my fan fiction mod.

[IMG] Then why aren't you still on Coruscant?

    [IMG] I'll be gonig now.

    Wow, he's so polite.

He's going to die first, I just know it...

Some crew members are dueling in one of the Orion's corridors, too bad you can't join them in some kind of battle circle-ish questline. That would've been fun.

    * * * * *

    * * * * *

As we get closer to the bridge, we meet this crazy fella.

No I don't want to play fucking Pazaak.

To answer your question, yes, you can play against him, but I seriously doubt he's any good considering the mental state he's in

Ah malfunctioning astromech droids, I am sure Codexer know how to fix em by now.

    :smug:

That's the lady in the red suit talking to us, let's hear if she wants to play Pazaak has anything interesting to say.

She stares at us for a few seconds, confused.

[IMG] We have never met, yet you look surprised to see me?
[IMG] I... forgive me, it wasn't my intention to make you feel uncomfortable. I... I just haven't spoken with a... Jedi before.

Hmm... something fishy is going on here.

[IMG] What do you do here?

[IMG] I am the Orion's merchant, and am responsible for distributing supplies amongst the ship's crew members. Also, when the Orion docks, I trade with the locals. After buying and selling our merchandise, I ussually acquire enough credits to purchase enough food and medicine to last for the next journey.

    [IMG] I'll be going now.

[IMG] Of course, I... do not wish to distract you from what must be important buisness. Farewell... for now.

Hmmm... She's definately hiding something. I think we'll figure it out later.

We've learned Drexl was the former captain of this ship, but he didn't hear much about this Kobayashi guy... interesting.

Oh hey, it's the alien who doesn't trust us...

    Let's talk to him.

    Rrrrrriiiggghhhtttt... not foreshadowing at all.

[IMG] Can I ask you some questions?
[IMG] If it is information you seek, then it is information you will get. What do you want to know?

Let's chat about the crew first. We've already come across some colorfoul characters...

[IMG] Tell me about the Orion's Crew.
[IMG] I'm sure you are already very familair with some of the Orion's crew.
[IMG] Tell me about the Orion's mechanic.

Yeah we didn't exactly have a smooth first meeting.

[IMG] He is an unusual character, but a dependable one. Our mechanic was one of the first besides myself and the then captain Daemon Drexl to crew aboard the Orion.

There's some more option's here, but I'll only cover the NPCs we've met so far.

Again, mention of this Kobayashi and it seems to ship's crew had it's fair share of adventures, even an encounter with republic forces.

Walon Vau is the 'humble Mandalorian' we talked to earlier.

Allright enough info dumps for now, it is time to get some answers...

    [IMG] What is this "merchandise"?
[IMG] Whilst Daemon Drexl was still captain, he was schedulded to deliver what he called an item of great significance to his Exchange contacts on Nar Shaddaa. Later, when he had left the Orion, he contacted us and requested that we deliver this "Merchandise" to him.
[IMG] At first I agreed, but now that I have discovered the truth behind the "merchandise", it would be grossly irresponsible of me to deliver such an item into the Exchange's hands.

Whatever his reasons, it must be some pretty important "merchandise" to blow off a reasonable deal like that.

[IMG] I'm afraid I cannot reveal its secrets to you at this time. It's nothing personal I assure you.

Well that's just great... doesn't make you sound suspicious at all man.

    [IMG] I'll be going now.

    Oh come on.

She's still got that odd look in her eyes...

What, am I that handsome dear?

Oh boy, I cannot wait to talk to that guy again...

As we approach our quarters, we hear the mechanic speaking to someone... ominous...

    Why hello there.

Just shut up and let me try to be nice to you.

    That oughtta do it.

[IMG] Save the threats, I don't have the time.
[IMG] What are you doing anyway?

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for this guy, it cannot be easy being a mechanic in a galaxy where people fight each other with glowing sticks over different religious beliefs.

[IMG] It must be a difficult job.
[IMG] I don't want your sympathies, I just want you to leave me alone so I can get back to work.

[IMG] Look, I've come to collect the droid parts for Sera Degana's astromech droid.
[IMG] Uhm well, I don't have them.

    Great.

[IMG] Then where are the parts?

    You and me both Codexer....

    Hmmm... fair enough.

Oh well, this shouldn't take too lo-

    Oh come on.

    :smug:

Let's hear you beg for mercy in 600 languages...

Well that was fun, we got the droid parts, and some experience too.

Oh awesome.. We'll take the black one.. All cool kids wear black these days.

    [IMG] [IMG]
That's one good looking robe if I might say so...

Is the twist that the Jedi is the merchandise? Too obvious, doubt it. Besides that was in KotOR2 anyway, and it wasn't a twist.

    Uh-oh.

Christ goddammit, it just keeps getting better.

We man up and accept the call... I already have a hunch who it could be...

Shit, I knew it. Daemon Drexl.

[IMG] I'm prepared to kill my way to you Drexl, and I'm not one to dissapoint.
[IMG] Even though I was exiled from the Orion, its crew are still mindfull of the lessons I had thaught them. Deception - which applied correctly - can be a useful tool of manipulation. If only you knew the truth behind the "merchandise" Jedi.
[IMG] Daemon, stop! You don't know what you're about to do!

[IMG] Deception? Truth? What is going on here?

    *gasp*

At least they don't try to sugarcoat it... but they still lied to us.

Whoah, so much for some sympathy for your former crew eh Daemon?

Well I guess their intentions are good. The end justifies the means here I guess.

However, the choice here is more grey here than I am making it out to be. A dark side character has plenty of reasons to kill this whole bunch of wimpy cowards. First, they lied to us. Second, a dark side character might want to take the artifact for themselves...

I really like the way the 2nd option is written, we sound genuinely pissed off.

Allright, time for some mercenary ass whoopin'

    Music

Soon, we run into our first group of corpses mercenaries.

My god the dark side dialouge options in this game are badass.

    We'll see about that.

Never bring a blaster to a lightsaber fight, especially if your opponent is a Force user.

The Exchange soldiers don't really hit that hard, but their use of energy shields makes our deflection ability a lot less usefull...

Some useless droid items in an abandoned droid shop nearby

    Fuck you.

These mercs fare a little better, they too have energy shields and slightly better weapons, but they are no match for us.

We got some grenades left too, let's put them to good use by risking explosive decompression.

In the next room, we come across this...

How'd he get captured anyway? Didn't all crew members retreat to the safe areas?

:troll: Bet he didn't expect that...

Threathening the Bith turns him hostile (logically), he takes some fire for us, while we deal with the Exchange merc in front of us.

    Soon they're all dead...

And nothing stands between us and Daemon Drexl.

    Wait... is that, a lightsaber?

[IMG] I have nothing to fear from the likes of you, criminal scum.
[IMG] This time Codexer... this time the situation is different. I will defeat you and then claim the artifact which is rightfully mine!
[IMG] Are you totally insane? Do you not realise what the Exchange will do with the artifact?

Well you joined the wrong club of misfits then buddy, the Mandalorians are next door.

[IMG] The Galaxy needs order, not anarchy. You will not succeed.

We step closer to Drexl, and the door closes behind us.

    He ignites his Lightsaber...

    And we enter combat...

Pfew, for a moment there I thought we were just going to stand there, cracking one-liners at each other.

Drexl has two bodyguards. Although he hits hard, his two bodyguards can take you down quickly if you're careless, so we use force storm spam to take care of his guards.

There, with them gone, you can focus all your energy on Drexl.

Drexl manages to be a tough oponent, thanks to his lightsaber and his stats. His hitpoints are high, as is his vitality.

We manage to kick his ass though.

    What are you rambling about?

Uh-oh, I do not like this. At all...

:x What? This was just a diversion?

Well it's not like it came out of fucking nowhere...

    That Duros mechanic...

    Now just you wait...

    Fucking Christ...

    DUM DUM DUUUUUMMMMM...

    Now, where were we?

    Oh yeah, Codexer got gassed.

    * * * * *

Hah, at least we're still alive, if just barely

It is at this point I realised I really liked this mod.

Bodies litter the floor of the Orion, but Daemon Drexl is nowhere to be seen.

We loot some Exchange Battle armour off a dead body. What better way to show you're a Jedi than robbing the dead?

Ok, now would be a good time to talk about the atmosphere in this part. It is amazingly well done, I think of it as Peragus II done right. There is no music, the only sounds are creepy shrieks and echo's coming from all across the Orion, and no explanation is given to what the hell happened to everyone. First time I played this, I was actually really on my nerves the whole time.

One Thing that made Peragus II kind of weak was the shitload of Mining Droids that popped up around every corner.
    To quote Scorchy:
This is why here it works, there are a lot of quiet, creepy moments and enemies only pop up when the plot requires them to.

    HOLY SHIT!

And he attacks us, wonder what all the crazy fireworks were about...

It's the force ghost we saw earlier...

    Music

    Wanna fight? Fair enough.

He vanishes as soon as we defeat him though, creepy...

We then head to the other section of the Orion, let's hope someone else survived this horror.

    Damn, no such luck.

That voice... A Duros? That Mechanic traitor has survived somehow?

Hah, nice little Airplane! Reference there...

[IMG] What are you doing in there?
[IMG] I fell in here you see, and then the door closed and locked itself behind me. Must have been a malfunction. Bad luck on my part I guess.

    :nocountryforshitposters:

[IMG] Your lies won't work on me, mechanic.
[IMG] Fine, you win. I was the guy who was helping out Cap'n Drexl. I'm the inside man.
    [IMG] You're the traitor?
[IMG] I'm not the traitor, it's everyone else! I never wanted that murglak as my captain. Besides, I had other reasons.
    [IMG] What reasons?

Funny, my friend studying engineering said the same thing last week...

[IMG] My job was to gain acces to the storage room so Cap'n Drexl could do what he needed to do with this ancient artifact here. He said nobody would be hurt.
[IMG] He was in a pretty good mood when he arrived here. After boasting a little, he touched the artifact, said something strange and then poof! It opened.

    The stupid jackass...

[IMG] Though he must have forgotten something important, as the only thing which came from the artifact was a bolt of energy that hit him square in the chest. He then collapsed, and hasn't moved an inch ever since.

Well... good riddance if I might say so.

[IMG] What followed was even worse. I heard screams from all around the Orion. So being the smart Duros I am, I figured I'd just lock the Storage Room door and keep myself from becoming all corpse-like.
[IMG] If you managed to lock the Storage Room door, why can't you unlock it?

[IMG] What's wrong with the console here?

Oh goddammit Mechanic, you aren't making this easy...

The other end? But that's like... a 3 minute walk :(

[IMG] Are you sure this will work?
[IMG] Trust me, it will work! Now go find that console and get me out of here!
[IMG] Fine, I'll acces the console.
[IMG] I'll unlock the door to the bridge for you!

Well at least he's helpfull, I give him that...

    It's the ghost again...

These guys creeped the hell out of me first time I played this mod, they're kind of one-dimensional force ghost villains, but they're that Disney villain special kind of one-dimensional.

Well I guess we can erase his name from our 'list' then.

So long story short: These "Shadows" were trapped eons ago in their "Shadow's Bane" and were released by Daemon Drexl. They are only ghosts though and they consumed the people on the Orion to materialise in our world. To permanently sustain their existence however, they need a vessel of flesh, one that is strong enough to hold their energies.

He attacks us from behind, the fucker...

He isn't that tough however, so plan your attacks wisely and he should go down in a few turns.

Oh hell no... My body is my own Sith spirit.

Yeah, Star Wars fanboys should already have come to the conclusion that this is obviously an ancient Sith spirit. The red skin, the power in the force. What we do not know is how these Sith were trapped in what they call the Shadow's Bane...

And he vanishes yet again. This guy is a few fries short of a happy meal.

The Orion's corridors are empty, save for this astro droid.

Interesting. Upon playing the logs, we recognize the voice as the one belonging to that female Twi'lek merchant.

Wait... that chick was a Sith... or a Jedi?

    Well I guess she's a Sith then...

    The 2nd audio log...

    Interesting

The 3rd and final audio log...

So she knew Revan.... remember her first reaction upon seeing us?

She lied. She knew who we were, the whole time...

Just for that we're gonna steal all her Mandalorian Wars robes.

Blue looks better on us anyway...

Hmmm let me think about it....

    No.

And he vanishes yet again... goddammit.

Opening this door.. We see the Twi'lek merchant running away from us...

Following her, all we find is this discarded backpack.

This is a nice little twist right here. You're expecting the female Twi'lek to answer, instead we hear a male Mandalorian voice coming from the other side...

Looks like he's gone crazy too...

    Aw fuck.

He then attacks us. His saves are actually pretty good, so our force powers don't always work, and his attacks sometimes chip away a fair amount of health.

We loot the corpse for some nice Mandalorian armour. But that strange Twi'lek chick we saw earlier is nowhere to be seen, only an astro droid... strange....

    Well, compared to Bioware anyway...

    05 - We have a ghost problem...
    Show Spoiler

So last time we got gassed by Daemon Drexl, and after waking up, realised he had foolishly unleashed the dark powers of the artifact...

All that is left in this room is this stupid droid...

We backtrack a little bit to find the console the mechanic mentioned earlier.

Goddammit, I thought maybe we could go the easy route for once...

So the droids hold the code keys for the storage room door to unlock?

    That's stupid, but clever

There and we'll just be on ou-

Oh you GOT to be kidding me..

Codexer has had enough of this shit, he kicks the droid and it goes EXPLODEY... I guess all of these droids would have died horrible deaths anyway..

Unfortunately, we still got 2 more code keys to find.

All the droids on this ship are huge assholes, why they don't want to give the codes, even if you explain the situation, is beyond me.

After inserting the 2nd code key, we get smart and destroy the third droid right away... he never saw it coming.

    That did it!

This is such a joyfull moment! We haven't heard from the Brotherhood of Shadow for a while though... maybe they forgot about us?

    Crap.

    Wait... what?

You know things are about to get serious when you hear that over-the-top villain laugh...

So now the ghosts try to bum rush us... Goddammit, it's the Star Forge all over again...

Luckily these guys don't hit that hard, but 3 or 4 of them at once can get kind of tricky.

Bring it on! The more the merrier.

One brother of shadow just remains stationary, due to horrible pathfinding.

We take advantage of this and whoop his ass with a Thermal Detonator.

    Pfew, last one...

    Watch it Duros...

Sometimes, the dialouge in this game sums up my thoughts perfectly...

Goddammit game, why do you make me empathise with this lowlife?

Well we could use the escape pod to pod off to.. somewhere

Though I guess that still leaves the ship full of angry Sith Spirits...

    :troll: Anti-reference brigade on standby...

Wait... We're going to take a look at it?

Sure, last time someone looked at it the said person collapsed and Sith spirits killed everyone aboard...

    What could go wrong?

Hmmm yea, had not thought about that yet....

[IMG] The Orion is set to autopilot mode. It should take us all the way to the Arroyo system. Nice place, can't wait to get there myself.
[IMG] If something should happen to me, I want you to pilot the Orion into the nearest black hole. We can't take any choices.
[IMG] I'm fine with the flyin', but not with the dyin'. The galaxy needs people like me.

Oh yeah, people who can do nothing but whine and repair droids who are going to explode anyway...

[IMG] I noticed an escape pod in the Starboard section. You should be able to use that to escape.

Why not flush the artifact out the airlock? Just sayin'

[IMG] So, what is your solution? How do we defeat these beings?

Oh come on, how old are we? six?

    Shit. Shouldn't have kicked it...

    * * * * *

    Are we dead?

If I had a penny for everytime I heard that...

Wait, what's that in the distance?

Daemon Drexl, though he doesn't appear to be very much aware of his surroundings...

    Music

Wow, nice facial texture job if I might say so...

He attacks us again? If he thinks home field gives him an advantage, he's wrong...

We manage to take him down eventually, but he unleashed a powerfull force wave and heals himself...

Abusing the force is supposed to be my job :rpgcodex:

And he vanishes, leaving us here... trapped like animals in a cage...

[IMG] This place, I've never seen anything like it. What is it?
[IMG] This is the Shadow's Bane. It is a timeless world of torment wrought by an empire of old. It's nature is imprisonment... it denies the influential the means to spread their influence; claiming from them that which they cherish the most. Purpose.
[IMG] How did you get here? Where are you originally from?
[IMG] Any memories of our flesh and blood existence have long since been destroyed by a millennia's worth of torment. We can remember only one thing...
[IMG] We are the Brotherhood of Shadow! We will claim a vessel of flesh and then reclaim our lost purpose!
[IMG] What have you done to Daemon Drexl?
[IMG] He is but another victim of the bane's torments, and does not possess the strength to maintain his sanity.
[IMG] What do you hope to achieve? Does the slaughter of innocent people justify the result?
[IMG] The Brotherhood of Shadow does that have purpose... yet. We have forgotten why we were cast into the Shadow's Bane; only knowing that we should feel a hatred towards those responsible. We seek flesh so that it will renew that lost knowledge, and grant us the purpose which will redefine our existence.
[IMG] What is the flesh you ask? The flesh is who you are, yet it is who we are not. It is that which can exist unrestricted in the reality outside the Shadow's Bane.
[IMG] We desire your body; to claim it as our vessel of flesh. Only then will we possess the means to rediscover the true purpose of the Brotherhood of Shadow.
[IMG] This body is mine and mine alone.
[IMG] You are free to delusion yourself, but it will not change the truth. When you became entrapped within the Shadow's Bane, your uninhabited flesh remained behind.
[IMG] Though even *we* cannot simply claim that flesh, and must first defeat its native essence. Your essence.

This just keeps getting better and better...

[IMG] How do I escape from this place?
[IMG] Within the Shadow's Bane, escape as you understand cannot be achieved so easily. When this prison was opened, we were able to use the powers of our imposed supremacy to temporarily project ourselves into the fabric of true reality.
[IMG] Yet our time there was limited; lasting only as long as we could nourish ourselves upon the energy of the living.
[IMG] So if it is you - the Brotherhood of Shadow - who is in control here, wouldn't it be possible to bargain with you for my freedom?

Oh Codexer, if only things went that easy for once...

[IMG] To reclaim your flesh and freedom, you must first defeat we - the Brotherhood of Shadow - in a battle of wills.
[IMG] If it is a battle you want, then it is a battle you will get. No matter your power here, you will not defeat me.
[IMG] You are eager to do battle, but you are still in truth a mystery to the Brotherhood of Shadow. We demand that you first reveal your secrets to us!

    What? Seriously?

[IMG] It seems I have no other choice. Learn what you will, then we finish this once and for all.

I have a bad feeling about this...
