Favourite genre to play with friends has always been the one that gave us classics like Micro Machines and Mario Racing on one end, and Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8, or Mashed on its more violent other.

But things do get repetitive after so many years, so I'm looking for recs of underrated gems that I might have missed. Most sites with related genre lists are overflowing with boring crap; what I want, is the curated opinion of monocled gentlemen.

Which, speaking of, if you've never tried Mashed, you owe it to yourself. MP mode is as fun as it is hilarious with its completely bonker physics.

Extreme G-series on the 64 is really good and I have never seen anyone talk about those 2 games. At least not for nearly 2 decades.
