FYI, a prequel is a work that is released after the story which it precedes. So Legends of Amberland is not the prequel of Legends of Amberland II. It's just the previous game.

Yeah, I changed the Steam store description a while ago, misunderstood the word :) I thought the "prequel" news were all replaced by now... Must have been some leftovers.
Can Amberland 2 combat be like Shattered Lands?

Yes, just so combat is from overhead and slightly tactical. I'd like to see more traps and secrets in exploration, as well as a rogue class. Right now I've mopped up the ogre garrisons at lvl 10, also the island bandits, but I haven't seen any traps or secrets yet. Otherwise your game is fun, and I'm glad it was well received.

I prefer Amberland 2 combat be an improvement of the combat of the first game, not something entirely different

I will most likely adjust combat (IE make it more tactical) but it's unlikely I would go for something totally different. More like evolution than a revolution.

Anyway, I will be making a separate forum topic before I start LoA II, so everyone would be able to post all ideas (crazy or otherwise :D), before I start coding and then I will decide on the details.
