Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I think the Prologue might be doable on Unfair if you make your MC a min-maxed Dex tank, and/or turn Seelah and Camellia into Sylvan Sorcerers with Leopard pets and Lann into a Sage Sorcerer/Druid. It's a bit degenerate, but a Magic Missile barrage can take down most enemies in the early game...

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I'm curious, did you play through the Prologue on Unfair? How did you deal with those mobs with 10+ AB and 30+ AC at level 2?

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

By the way, if anyone is curious about how to easily beat the goblins in the first area of Varnhold's Lot on Unfair (actually one of the hardest fights in the whole DLC, especially if you're "soloing" with Varn and Cephal) - the scroll merchant in Varnhold sells scrolls of Circle of Death (and...

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

I would say that Dex builds are generally better at low levels because of the lack of Legendary Proportions, the best buff for Str-based meleers. However, you can get Legendary Proportions from a nice belt in Lostlarn keep, so I'd say that Str. builds win out overall in Varnhold's Lot. My...

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

I don't think initiative is all that important, even on Unfair. Just check your rolls and if you rolled low initiative, run away for a round until it resets and you're no longer flat-footed. I agree though, if you just charge in blindly, you might get wrecked.

    Pink Eye plays Pathfinder: Kingmaker

There's a guy on Twitch trying to beat the game on Hard Last Azlanti (https://www.twitch.tv/billy_pilgrim_86). I do not envy him since I've lost count of how many times he's restarted. If all you care about is the achievement, you can just play the game on Story difficulty in Last Azlanti mode.

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

So apparently if you're a crossblooded sorcerer, you can take bloodline ascendance twice, and get, for example, immunity to fire, cold, sneak attacks, critical hits, paralysis, sleep and DR 5/- in exchange for two Mythic Abilities/Feats (from Undead and Elemental Bloodlines). Add in Archmage...

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

You can get shield just as easily from vivisectionist/sword saint. I can already predict InEffect's build for Wrath - Monk/Paladin/Bloodrager/Vivisectionist and/or Sword Saint. Mmm, the cheese.

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

Better yet, you can dip 1-2 levels of Bloodrager to get access to Bloodrage, Uncanny Dodge, armor/weapon proficiency and 20th level Elemental (Fire) bloodline power access. In fact, that might be one of the better starting classes for any melee char. Take a level of Monk for extra cheese, since...

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

Have any of you guys figured out how to get the mimic ending for Varnhold's Lot? Apparently you have to make evil choices throughout, but I don't know which ones.

Spiderweb Avernum 4, am i getting too old for this or it's just not enjoyable?

Avernum 4 is probably the weakest game in the whole series. Avernum 5 has an interesting premise, while Avernum 6 offers a nice conclusion to the series (although it's a bit too railroaded for my liking, but that's somewhat understandable given the nature of the overall problem you have to deal...

You can also do Ratnook Hill for early XP if you don't mind reloading. Waterlogged lowland gives you a chunk of XP as well. Yes, the wyvern figurine from Womb of Lamashtu can be used to complete the Sepulchre of Forgotten Heroes solo in combination with Haste/Expeditious Retreat.

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

Yeah, to be honest, I'm a little worried about Wrath of the Righteous since I heard it will be shorter than Kingmaker. Hopefully, the increased reactivity will make up for it.

Pathfinder Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition - now with turn-based combat

Here's a nice recent stream showcasing the new gamepad/console UI. While I wouldn't want to play through the whole game with a controller, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/686562879

    The best Avernum?

I actually prefer Avernum 3 (or its recent remake). While 1 and 2 are nice, I like the dynamic nature of Avernum 3 where cities get destroyed if you spend too much time fooling around. Of course, it is really an Avernum game if you mostly explore the surface rather than the underground?
