  1. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Alright, everyone. A little update. Today, I've initiated a meeting within our company and suggested to drop iPad version first, concentrate on PC only and kill F2P. It tooke about five hours of discussions, but looks like I'm winning and there is a chance to make it right. Current campaign...
  2. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

This meant to be that 1 our of 24 of those people was interested in actual space. Not 0,5% (which would be that half of them are interested, and this is nonsense). Sorry for confusion. --- About research: yes, this is not our research own, but I have access and participated in it's creation...
  3. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Problem is, we made a marketing research and have numbers. Apparently, you have only your opinion. In short and roughly, out of 100 people only 11-12 are interested in space (in our country). Only 0,5 of them are interested in actual space (big distances, black space). When I said we are making...
  4. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, 100% hardcore space fans won't like our art - we knew about it, but we had choice: to make a game for like 0,000001% of players or make it for everyone, attractive and educate this way. When people will get used to space - sure, black skybox with stars will be...
  5. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Thanks. Yes, space isn't that colorful, at least in our system. You are right, but we must remember that we are making a game that must be fun, interesting and beautiful - or you'll have some unplayable product for maybe one or two harcore fans or unneccesary realism and who don't care for...
  6. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Reach for the stars didn't use real stars. It used real stars names, and only those stars that you heard about somewhere - in movies, books, etc. In other words - brightest, biggest and 'popular'. We use real stars that you never even heard about; those that have no names, but only indexes...
  7. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

B 99.9% of backers don't know what hard SF is, so it's not marketing. It's way I want to make a game, and it's how game will be, if it will survive at all. If you are juding SF by vizual style, well...
  8. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Thanks for feedbacks, folks. About "iPad first shit DIE DIE DIE DIE!" - I agree. It was not my idea. Quite opposite, I've insisted on PC version first. And even more - if it would be PC only first, we would have released it already, because developing for iPad is twice as difficult due to...
  9. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

It's a wrong comparsion, imo. Unless you think that Star Control II or Space Ranger sucks and shouldn't be discussed here. I think both are great games (SC2 is probably best game for me) and isn't something that RPG community must hate or despise. Or do people here hate Diablo 1 and 2 too (I'm...
  10. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Should be interesting. But are the books becomes worse if you read them on iPad or iPhone? Would Isaac Asimov or Alastair Reynolds suddenly become bad authors becuase you dare to read their books on your pad? Of course no. Why should that happen with the games if they are developed right...
  11. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

There will be a versoin for PC too, soon after iPads. Sad to see such agression, but I'm sure there are many players who loves RPG/ARPG and would be happy to see it on iPads too. See Baldur's Gate - unless you want to tell Brian Fargo the same. Watelands 2 will be released on iPads too, I...
  12. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

Yes, MMO is the different (parallel) version and game. Single player won't suffer from it.
  13. Divine Space - adventure + aRPG in hard sci-fi genre needs you!

  14. KickStarter Kickstarter Watch.

Thank you for including Divine Space into the list, guys! I hope to see some of you joining our crew - something is coming our way, and we need more soldiers. Someone have to take care of our cannons!
  15. KickStarter Kickstarter Watch.

Hello everyone! Please include us to the listing - we are young indie team, and we need some support and love. We are developing aventure/quest ARPG in hard sci-fi genre, named Divine Space. Currently, we are launched on Kickstarter - 40 days to go, 5,6% gathered at the moment. Brief...
