Deus Ex Deus Ex: Revision Mod

Some guy on neogaf found out how to use Revision on the GOG version, (it may work on physical versions of the game, but I haven't tried that). You have to use the ModDB installer, ignore the steam stuff at the end, then download Kentie's Deus Ex launcher from http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/...

    The Codex of Roguelikes

There are different types of patrols on the world map. Ziguranth Patrols are hostile only if you have magic talents or runes, Adventurer Parties and Orc Patrols are always hostile, and Allied Kingdom Patrols are hostile to non-disguised undead.

    Arcanum - worth a punt?

From what I remember, some store keys (Like Ristezze's, for example) do actually allow you access to the chest, while others (like Tarant's General Store) don't. The unlocking spell is far better than lockpicking because it only requires one point and if you do it from far away, no one will hear...

    Arcanum - worth a punt?

Robbing stores in Arcanum is way too easy, just pickpocket the key from the shopkeeper and you're somehow allowed to take all his stuff, no real stealth required

ADOM R58 has received a public release: http://www.ancientdomainsofmystery.com/2015/07/adom-r58-is-available-now-for-everyone.html

    Arcanum - worth a punt?

People don't complain about Arcanum's combat because it's too hard, they complain because it's repetitive and it takes far too long (Unless you activate Diablo-mode)

    The Codex of Roguelikes

If you prefer buying DRM-Free games, you should be fine with the Steam version, since the developers have confirmed that it's DRM-Free (You can put the game folder in a USB stick and run it in another computer if you want). This is also a useful resource...

    The Codex of Roguelikes

The free version is still available from the developer's site. The new EA version has a bunch of new stuff like a tileset, improved UI, and a bunch of new quest stuff.

Caves of Qud is now up on Steam as an Early Access title, if anyone's interested.

    Gothic I/II mods

Vanilla Gothic 2 was easy. Like, really easy. You could even farm the ingredients required to make the Stat Upgrading Potions, IIRC. The rule changes that came with NotR are a significant improvement. Besides, Jharkendar itself is really fun to explore.

    RPS Top 50 RPGs

The real heresy here is that FTL is ahead of ADOM, NEO Scavenger, Brogue and Dwarf Fortress

Which CRPG has the most stupid name?

Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines: Colon Cancer

    The Codex of Roguelikes

It's decent. The combat is somewhat simplistic due to being a real-time game with a single melee move, but the multiplayer feature is fun to do and it plays a lot like Ultima Underworld.

Barony - first person roguelike with Minecraft graphics

The game is pretty fun, and challenging, once you get past the Minecraft look (Which was technically used first in Infiniminer, but whatever)

Best exploration oriented quest you have experienced?

All of the quests that involve exploring Jharkendar in Gothic 2 Gold. Looting the ruins of an ancient civilization never gets old.
