Codex Review RPG Codex Review: The Bard's Tale IV

Everyday I light a candle and pray that people won't give Fargo their money. WL2 , Torment were disgusting and from what I've seen Bard's Tale isn't much better. Here's a prayer he won't try to kickstart sequal for Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Eternity If you liked POE1 you have shit taste in games. (my review)

Having just finished the game, after periodically torturing myself with it since its release, I can echo the criticism it has received. I sometimes have this ridiculous sense of duty to finish stuff I've started (then again I've been trying to finish reading One Hundred Years of Solitude for...

Are there any codex approved games that are actually good?

I keep forgetting... how important it is what everyone else in this virtual space likes :)

Fate of the Middle Class RPG

That's a pattern all over the industry. Terrible product pricing that is enforced by an even more unreasonable budget (or claiming that is the AAA price standard). They try to add some artificial value to their product. Ubisoft is an incredible example of this, fill the world with "interesting"...

    The Codex of Roguelikes

Anybody else just prefers to random a character and go with the flow? I've been doing that a lot lately, I feel like I'm getting better at the game just by exploring some of the more unorthodox build combinations. For example, just rolled a dark elf bard in ADOM, I've never played with a bard...

    Does Graphical roguelikes have future?

Didn't you feel that SotS: The Pit was really dry content wise? Sure it's understandable that something that has been developed in a year or so, will most likely hold a lesser value within (not always), in comparison to a project that has been developed and improved over a longer span of time...

    From Software Dark Souls 3

With 30 hours clocked and approaching the final bosses, I've got to say that DS3 is an amazing experience. It gets better as you go on, some of the areas are just stunningly beautiful. Gameplay, character movement and overall pace of the game is a huge improvement over DS2. That being said...

    Does Graphical roguelikes have future?

This ASCII / tile argument has always amused me, as if one is worse than the other and god forbid somebody goes with a personal preference. Personally I hate ToME tiles, I think they are incredibly ugly, I don't use them, but neither do I brag about it. That being said I realize that tiles ease...

    The Codex of Roguelikes

Preferably you'd want to go there with some lvl's behind you, unless you have high level regeneration and good AoE to deal with hordes. Just do some side questing and gear hunting, general consensus is that you level up till around lvl 20 and then it's a piece of cake. Once you are down there...
