  1. Game News Everything you've ever wanted to know about Gothic 3

I can't discuss this game without fainting from excitement.
  2. I want another game like Wiz 8(stomp my feet, pull my hair)

It's been a *long* time since I played BG2, but if I remember correctly the game starts in Irenicus's dungeon. If you're going to accept that premise why on Earth would you believe he'd allow you to keep your SKULLCRUSHER +5 of ELF-SMITING!!!1
  3. Game News Gothic 3 hits Europe - Oct 13

Re: Gothic censorship : what was censored O lawd! I gots to get me sum GREEN POONTANG!
  4. Monkey Island's Ron Gilbert Dabbles in RPGs

As a huge fan of the first two MI games, I'd tend to agree, but industry history is not kind to aging developers. Peter Molyneux who gave us Populous, Powermonger and Dungeon Keeper eventually ruined his own image with Fable and Black & White. John Romero fucked up big time with Daikatana...
  5. Juicy Hawt Gothic 3 Info

Mask of Majora has the best voice acting. All those 'Hmm?'s and 'Waaah!'s are more expressive than a lot of spoken dialogue I've heard in my time.
  6. Juicy Hawt Gothic 3 Info

Fair point. I was referring to the English version of Gothic 2 that not only used about 4 voices for ALL the spoken parts but also had characters that changed voice halfway through a conversation.
  7. Juicy Hawt Gothic 3 Info

    # Voice recordings are in progress at the moment. # 90% of the cast will sound like the first 10%.
  8. The Codex of Ultimate Wisdom Explained

I think the reason it sounds so familiar might be the MAHOOSIVE sample from Human Nature which is on the Thriller album. P.S. SWV's singing is straight up busted. Made my ears bleed. P.P.S. Ultima V gratest gaym evar!
  9. Best Game evar

Excellent summary. I don't think I could agree more on most points. If there's anyone else reading these boards who has never played an Ultima game, pick the one that sounds most appealing from the above list and try it. Whenever I play a new RPG I automatically compare it to Ultima 5 and...
  10. Best Game evar

4 was too simplistic to my mind. There wasn't much of a plot to discover: become the avatar by being sickeningly good. If you place a high premium on choices and consequences then 4 probably isn't a great example because you always have to do the right thing and a single bad act (like not...
  11. Ultima 4 - Avatarhood Denied

Thou must equippeth the ring... eth.
  12. Gothic 3 will not ENTIRELY be scaling.

And so was Volourn's mind made up.

    What he said.
  14. Best Game evar

</delurk> So, yeah. Ultima 5: Warriors of Destiny. I first played it on the Atari ST when I was about 8 years old and I loved it. The whole 'find your own way' feel was unlike anything I'd ever played before. I was a bit young to appreciate its subtleties so I was defeated. I still came...
