  1. Dungeoneers has released on Steam.

After 10+ years of development, 7 years of open testing on the web, 1 year in Steam Early Access, and 8,500,000+ dragons killed, Dungeoneers has now released on Steam. You can also play from a browser at dungeoneers.com - the game is server-based, so if you link your accounts you can go back...
  2. Dungeoneers is now on Steam

Dungeoneers is now on Steam Early Access. And with 15 new wilderness regions. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1346460/Dungeoneers/ And it's still playable at https://www.dungeoneers.com Dungeoneers combines classic turn-based tactics with fast-paced gameplay and light humor and dialog. The...
  3. Dungeoneers in open beta - Single-Player TB Browser RPG

There are currently three pre-made race/class combos: The Human Fighter, The Elven Huntress, and the Dwarven Brawler. Not allowing character design might be part laziness, but it's because our priority has been making the dungeon itself fun and challenging using those characters.
  4. Dungeoneers in open beta - Single-Player TB Browser RPG

Yes it has been a long crawl. ;)
  5. Dungeoneers in open beta - Single-Player TB Browser RPG

Dungeoneers is now in open beta. It’s a single-player, turn-based RPG, offering instant dungeon adventuring with timeless, old-school gameplay. It's free-to-play in a web browser, with some simple in-game purchases. We're getting ready to launch on game sites such as Steam and Kongregate, and...
  6. Indie Obscure indies that deserve more attention - Updated Jan. 2020

Here's our indie that deserves more attention: Dungeoneeers It's a single-player, turn-based, dungeon crawl now playable on the web. And we're testing an iPad version too, so if you have an iPad that supports iOS 10 and would like to test, please email me at alex@dungeoneers.com What do...
  7. Dungeoneers - a tactical, single-player, dungeon crawl

I feel the same way. The map layouts in Dungeoneers do not change, but everything within the rooms is randomly generated, so each game is completely different.
  8. Dungeoneers - a tactical, single-player, dungeon crawl

I appreciate the feedback. The strategy is not immediately obvious, but it's there. Much of it comes from use of the Flame and Leap scrolls, and in the Ruins the monsters have lots of special properties. And a lot of it comes from just being familiar with the game, so you can make good decisions...
  9. Dungeoneers - a tactical, single-player, dungeon crawl

You're right ... we need to tune the help messages. The game does get harder and less simple. And just everyone knows, creating an account is free and just asks for an email address. Maybe we should allow access to the Ruins level, though, without having to create an account. That's where most...
  10. Dungeoneers - a tactical, single-player, dungeon crawl

It has 3 dungeon levels, plus the dragon's lair. There are no character levels.
  11. Dungeoneers - a tactical, single-player, dungeon crawl

Hello ... I'd love to know what everyone thinks of my game: Dungeoneers It's on the web and free while in development. Play is turn-based, but fast paced - with hex grids, d10 dice, and nice art (see below). Games are short, strategic, and intense. People seem to like it so far. Above...
  12. Indie Strategy Games - post 'em if you find 'em

Dungeoneers ... I know this is indie because it's me. :) Turn-based, hex grids, dice, and pretty cool art ... it's playable on the web for free while in development, and I'd love to know what everyone thinks. (Above: The hero has just shot a Gas Spore, causing it to explode - which may...
  13. An argument for turn based - The Magnificent Seven argument

This made me think of playing table top D&D. We often had to make real-time decisions, which definitely added to the drama, but the real-time stuff rarely had to do with combat. Typically DM's would enforce real time decisions if we were rp'ing a conversation with an NPC where we had to give...
  14. Guinea Pigs needed for CRPG user tests

The only system requirement is a web browser that supports html5. The latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari all work. Or IE with Google Chrome installed.
  15. Guinea Pigs needed for CRPG user tests

Cool. A couple hours would be more than enough. The "whole game" can be played in under an hour. If you win the game by killing the dragon, then next time you play you will be facing a stronger dragon (and eventually multiple dragons). If you are defeated, you start the game over. The game is...
