What are the coziest games out there?

I'm doing my first Icewind Dale playthrough in a couple of years. Usually do so this time of year. Tis the season. First big snow of the year outside right now. Toasty inside. Fire is going. Cats are curled up nearby. Mood-altering substances have been imbibed. Wrapped in a blanket in the...

Mystic Land: The Search for Maphaldo - Old school RPG inspired by W7 and EoB

For what it's worth, I write shitty fiction for a living. Went to school for it, etc. It should definitely be Mystic Land: The Search for Maphaldo. 2c

Game News The Thaumaturge is an upcoming turn-based RPG set in a supernatural early 20th century Warsaw

Seeing this just rekindles my decade-long desire for a Dresden Files crpg.

Indie The Accursed Crown of the Giant King - RTwP episodic indie RPG

I'd be a happy fellow if more crpgs had titles like The Accursed Crown of the Giant King.

KickStarter Stellar Tactics, a sandbox sci-fi RPG - now available on Early Access

Way back when he first started development, I suggested in a thread here that he embrace a Firefly aesthetic. Because even though it's been 20 years, there are still many, many people who would love to play a good Firefly game. And Stellar Tactics has the potential to be that game. I'm really...

Management / Sim Strike Commander is even better than I remembered

I'm not sure if it's allowed to be mentioned here, but playing Strike Commander in eXoDOS with CRT emulation enabled is something else. Highly recommended if you love the game.

    More exotic spells in RPGs.

Whether the spells are exotic or not is a matter for debate, but I honestly can't think of any other games that come remotely close to the number of different spells you can cast in the Infinity Engine. And there are definitely some pretty exotic spells to be found among those, in my opinion.
