    POLL best modern isometric CRPG(Divinity,Pillars,Kingmaker...)

The decline between ME1 and ME2 is nowhere near W1 and W2. In the end ME2 is still a very decent RPG despite the streamlining.

    POLL best modern isometric CRPG(Divinity,Pillars,Kingmaker...)

I'll tell you anyway, they are streamlined consolized heaps of trash designed for the low IQ masses that don't know what 'RPG' stands for.

    POLL best modern isometric CRPG(Divinity,Pillars,Kingmaker...)

All of them are trash. Ironically the last good modern RPGs are the non-isometric ones like Fallout 3, Oblivion, Mass Effect 1-2 and Witcher 1

I am playing Dragon Age Origins

Isn't this the same guy who was bashing classic RPGs in other comments? And now he's making a thread about him playing some garbage tier RPG?

    Question on isometric graphics

Old school isometry like BG and Fallout, not modern like PoE/Kingmaker my question is : how hard exactly would it be to create a game using these? Since the style seem to be abandoned. Is it because the engines used to craft them are too dated to work with modern tech? Or is it just too time...

Decline RPG Codex's Best RPGs - the DOWNVOTING thread. Voting closed, but shitposting must go on!

Can I trade my retadred ratings for voting points? If so do a 50/50 split between Fallout 2 and Pillars of Eternity.

What's an RPG praised by the Codex that you're reluctant to try?

Don't waste your time on that one, it's garbage. Same trash as Pillars of Eternity.

Geneforge 1 is pretty decent too, I haven't tried Nethergate

Game News Queen's Wish: The Conqueror gets trailer and Steam page, coming Fall 2019

ToEE is a bottom tier RPG. That quest from Fallout is way past the intro, it's like 1-2+ hours into the game, after recieving the main quest which is very open ended. A2 sends you killing goblins within the first minutes. Actually I think the game even asks you to kill goblins in the opening...

The "usual" "go kill bandits"? I'm sorry but this is only usual for bottom tier RPGs, none of the great RPGs start by asking you to perform such mundane errands or with such specific directives.

Avernum 1 / Escape from the pit are the best by far, easily in my top 5 cRPGs along with Fallout, BG, Ultima VII and Daggerfall

Game News Queen's Wish: The Conqueror gets trailer and Steam page, coming Fall 2019

To be honest about the Avernum series, A1 is the only good one of the lot. The series crashes and burn in the first sequel. Your very first goal goes from "Explore your surroundings, find out where you are, try to survive, carve your own path" in A1 to "Go clear some goblin cave" in A2. A3-6...

The only selling point is that it is made by a famous RPG dev. Jeff is using his own name/rep as a crutch.

The Witcher Witcher 3 was too big and had bad pacing

Actually the lack of urgency in Morrowind is a major flaw since you get a special snowflake treatment when the king himself gets you freed from jail then has you running errands.

The Witcher Witcher 3 was too big and had bad pacing

Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle. Witcher 3 was phony streamlined garbage
