Game News The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep Released

Haven't played it yet, but I'm a bit shocked at how bad it's selling. It's currently being outsold by Kingmaker, which is still 5 days out from release. What's doing more damage, the steam user reviews or perhaps people just don't care about this kind of game anymore. Either way, so much for...

Game News Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Released

Anyone have trouble launching the game? I have an FX-8350 and a GTX 970 and when I launch the game I only get the top inch of video??? I'll assume its because I'm a noob for now. Will try re-installing later.

Heroes of Might & Magic 7

It didn't sell well. I assume because of all of the bad Steam reviews because of all of the bugs. They might not have had a random map generator at launch either, or it at least wan't obvious how to make one. I just started playing it recently and I'm having fun. The tactical battle screen is...

Heroes of Might & Magic 7

There's now an Unofficial Community Patch for Heroes 7 that fixes a lot of bugs and changes some mechanics. Glad to see someone looking out for this game.

Codex Review RPG Codex Retrospective Review: Pillars of Eternity Revisited

Love PoE, it's biggest flaws to me are: 1. Crappy load times 2. No Muilticlassing 3. Not many non-combat skills All of which will be fixed in the sequel of course. Deadfire is gonna come out swinging.

Game News Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter Update #17: Character Screen Preview

Did they ever give the specific reason they chose RTwP? I happen to like RTwP so I don't mind, and I like TB as well. But if I was Paizo, I think I would prefer they followed the core rulebook to a T because as slick as this looks, I think it would make this game the best possible way to learn...

Game News Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter Update #12: Chris Avellone's Narrative Design Goals

Psha. The more I think about this game the more I like it. Particularly these bits "400+ feats and class abilities… 300 various kingdom events… Kingdom has it’s own flow of unfolding events (and there are tons of them) and it is different in every playthrough." For me the replayability in...

Preview Pillars of Eternity II Gameplay Footage on IGN E3 2017 Broadcast + Josh Sawyer Interview at PCGamesN

In one of the live streams Josh mentioned there are a lot more skills this time around as well. So between better loading times, more skills, and multiclassing, I'm pretty excited. The new inventory UI looks pretty slick too.

Preview Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter Update #3: Building the Kingdom + Gameplay Videos at IGN

The IGN article says the release date is roughly nine months from now. As someone looking forward to both this and Deadfire, I would rather they didn't come out around the same time of year. First world problem I guess, but is this a strategy? Seems like they'd eat into each other.

Game News Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter Update #2: Character Building and Difficulty

Looking good, I like that they have random encounters on the overworld map.

Game News Pathfinder: Kingmaker now on Kickstarter

I love RTwP. It's obviously way more tactical than RT and I feel the flow of the combat with RTwP is much more intuitive in a party-based game than TB is as I don't have to stare at a long list of initiative portraits. Everything feels more on your own time as you never have to just sit there...

Information Antharion, New Indie Turn-based RPG on Kickstarter

Does this mean there are no feats in game currently? I guess I just assumed feats for this game when I saw it. Perks/feats are always the most fun part of leveling IMO. The problem I have with games that use them is the user interface for them usually sucks, particularly when it comes to...

Information Antharion, New Indie Turn-based RPG on Kickstarter

I vote minimal animations with a snappy feel. Seems perfect for this type of game, it's going to be the gameplay that draws you in, not the graphics. If the game is good, then big heads and minimal animations will just be part of it's charm :) I really like the look of this game, the part in...
