KickStarter System Shock 1 Remake by Nightdive Studios

For anyone who wants a copy of the manual, some high res images, and other assorted stuff, GOG has a free download giveaway for the remake launch: https://af.gog.com/en/game/system_shock_goodie_pack?as=1649904300

From Software Is there such a thing as Souls-like?

Have you tried Remnant: From the Ashes yet? The combat differs in that prioritizes shooter based combat over melee, but it probably captures the feel and tone of Dark Souls more than most of the Souls-likes.

Trail of Ayash - open world game based on Native American myth

I appreciate the unique setting, but it definitely looks a bit janky. Hopefully they can tighten things up and make a decent game.

Squeenix NieR Replicant ver. 1.22474487139 announced for PC/PS4/XBO

I'm pretty sure that the cover is reversible with the Japanese version of the cover art art on the backside of the Western release. I actually like the Western cover art, just not as much as the Japanese.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia for Switch (Now also out for PC)

Don't know if there any plans to ever port the game over to PC, but the Switch emulator, yuzu, is coming along nicely. There's a very decent chance that you might be able to play the game on your PC via yuzu.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia for Switch (Now also out for PC)

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia will launch for Switch via the Nintendo eShop on June 25 worldwide, publisher Happinet and developer Matrix Software announced. Limited Run Games will distribute a physical edition of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia in North America. More information...

Vapourware System Shock 3 by OtherSide Entertainment - taken over by Tencent!

Does it? Otherside doesn't own the rights to System Shock as they just licensed the rights to make System Shock 3 from Night Dive. When Otherside declares bankruptcy, it would make sense for the game assets to go to Starbreeze, but I'm not sure the license to the intellectual property would...

KickStarter Underworld Ascendant is a disaster

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a vertical slice to test out game mechanics and whatnot. Nothing close to being feature complete or having all of the world built out, but a section or two that they can run though for testing purposes/demonstrations for potential publishers is pretty...

What are the best RPGs for dressing up?

The Dark Souls series is pretty great for customizing your character's appearance.

Demon's Souls completely playable on PC right now.

Demon's Souls now has mods that can be applied to the game when playing via RPCS3: https://www.nexusmods.com/demonssouls. The game looks absolutely stunning now.

Vapourware System Shock 3 by OtherSide Entertainment - taken over by Tencent!

Doesn't look bad, but it really doesn't impress either. Considering that they claimed to be more than half completed back in February, you would hope to see a better gameplay trailer that highlights player systems and abilities, or a better, more cinematic story trailer. I don't automatically...

Demon's Souls completely playable on PC right now.

You can run Nier at 4K and 60FPS (with a special patch) on a decent computer right now. https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/nier-can-run-for-the-first-time-ever-with-60fps-on-the-playstation-3-emulator-rpcs3/
