  1. Game News Fallout: New Vegas Trailer & Release Date

" Skils have a bigger effect on conversation choices. E.g. someone with a high Explosives skill may be able to have a coversation about explosives where appropriate." this quote kind of contradicts the offending quote. "All dialogue options are shown to all players, regardless of whether you...
  2. A cyberpunk tactical RPG - Zion

Who do I have to kill to work on this project? Artwork is gorgeous, new character sprite is really great. Would love to help you guys out. Edit: I've noticed you guys are looking for some programming assistance, but I didn't find an email address! I must apply! Edit2: And then my blindness...
  3. Fallout 3 or Valkyria Chronicles: which did it better?

VC is turn-based. What looks like "real-time" is when you're moving a character, if an enemy sees you he'll shoot at you for a bit, but not move. Its basically like the "interrupts" from Jagged Alliance or Attacks of Oportunity from DnD 3rd edition (don't know if the 4th still has that).
  4. NWN Neverwinter Nights (NWN & NWN2) Modules Thread

Due to my PC specs and poor optimization of NWN2's engine, playing SoZ is a nightmare because of the amount of loadings one has to go through to play for 5 minutes. So I went and unpacked every archive in the Data folder and then repacked with the lowest compression method, "Store", in which...
  5. To MOTB or not to MOTB. That is the question

The OC starts to shine during the Trial. Keep maintenance is interesting if you're into that sort of thing, I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing I disliked in the game was the excessive loot. I had to spend a lot of time organizing all that crap, even resorted to a piece of paper to help me...
  6. The Cradle

Yes, YES, I remember now, I was quicksaving like a maniac. Truly Thief 3's highest moment. But the rest of the game was great as well, it was much better than DX:IW, and achieved its goals of being an "almost sandbox" thief game in a small city environment.
  7. The Cradle

    I shat my pants !
  8. Who here has tried/will try Demons Soul

I love em, actually, and I agree with you. Just trying to tell to that other guy that the style isn't in any way indicative of the actual gameplay. The CANVAS engine as Sega calls it is awesome, and it makes everything look like it was painted, but in motion. It's not just a simple anime...
  9. Who here has tried/will try Demons Soul

VC is enormously fun. Screw the anime design, that's how the devs tricked the anime kids into buying the game. As for Demon's Souls, besides having a weird funny name, it sounds very appealing and if it wasn't for Alpha Protocol and Bayonetta hitting in the Fall, I would get it assuredly. But...
  10. Corpse Crew Alpha Version 0.4A (Want your input)

I remember Warren Spector saying how game graphics were going to "stabilize" and stop improving in leaps and bounds. He said it circa Deus Ex: IW.
  11. Who here has tried/will try Demons Soul

I wish there was some kind of the demo for this game, it does look interesting. The crazy multiplayer sounds good, but I wish there was a straighter co-op mode, that would advance the story for both players and not just the host.
  12. How's Silent Hill: Homecoming?

I've been a Silent Hill fan since Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut hit for the PS2 and I loved Silent Hill: Homecoming, and it should have been called Silent Hill V as originally planned, it deserved it. Sure, it has a completely different team behind it, and it has failings, mainly the rushed...
  13. Corpse Crew Alpha Version 0.4A (Want your input)

Cleve, have you got any of that stuff documented? Like all the things a player can do, weapons he will get, etc etc etc? Cause its sounding like you're just adding stuff as you dream it up, and I think it would help if you started just writing what you really want the game to be about, rather...
  14. What the fuck are you playing right now?

What I'm supposed to be playing right now: -still finishing my first playthrough of GTA4 (started it more than a year ago) -finishing Far Cry 2 -finishing Valkyria Chronicles (who knew the revival of the turn based squad game would start with a japanese console retelling of World War 2...
