    3.5's elaborate feat-chains. I probably didn't sense it at the time, but the D&D loving kid in me died a little bit that day. But the OSR and 5e brought be back... though, now I wouldn't bother with 5e. Too many OSR rulesets do D&D so much better than anything WotC has to offer. VS
