They are too big. They take up so much room that I have to scroll down to see the news. This is an inconvenience. There used to be nice compact ones that fit well with the overall layout. What's up with the ugly huge ass things there now?

The state of insanity.
Hey, I'm just happy they arranged the big ads better so it wasn't making the front page mega-wide and hella annoying. Besides, I usually come straight to the forums anyways.

OMG! U NEED TO SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE NEWS!? TEH HORROR!!!

Seriously, it's no big deal for me (mostly because I can scroll down) and besides, I'm more happy with where the ad(s) are now than where they where before IN THE BEGINNING OF TIME! *insert dramatic lightning strike here*

Guys, the front page add next to PayPal Donate has mine language in it. You don't normally see that on English sites, since it's so goddamn rare. This makes me always paranoid and start searching adware from my comp. The add probably has some IP tracking or something.
And I bet the add looks different in your computer, probably english or canadian (or whatever gets you).
I tried a different comp in different town and it still gives the same add.
That front page add which I see, advertises singles seeking other singles.

EDIT:
Here's how to disable the adds.
1. Get Firefox web browser if you haven't already and install it
2. Open from menu Tools/Options/Web Features/ and then disable Java Script.
(This might cause some Java based forums not to work though like Gamespy's)

RPGCodex sets 11 different cookies (10 for just visiting front page). What do you need all them for ?
And only one is used for forum account. Rex, are you pulling some spyware shit over this site ?
