To make tarator, what kind of cucumbers do I need? and should the yogurt be thick or thin? thank you.

I thought tarator was more of a tahini sauce, unlike tzatziki which is cucumber based?

Hahahaha, are there different kind of cucumbers? I just use normal ones,so anything should do the trick,as long as you don't mean some obscure thing as cucumber. I just peal it and cut it in to cubes. You could just slice it in a cross and then cut it in smaller parts. For the yogurt,i add water on eye.

Maybe one to one, just add and mix till it have the desirable thickness. It should be like a soup. Also add salt,a soup spoon or two of oil, fine cut garlic and finely cut/ripped dill for the taste, you could add it whole but it is more annoying when eating it.

Here is video that could help you see how it should look. Also some people add walnuts, but i prefer it without. Also two boxes of yogurt are fine for one tarator, around 600-700 grams.
