I can't say that I adhere to the one particular political ideology. All of them have their advantages, but those are usually countered by some fatal flaws.

In my opinion, humans as species are just incapable to govern themselves. Petty interests and ambitions always overweight the ideas and the greater good. Any system degrades to the consolidation of power and oppression.

I agree to a certain extent, but then I also don't subscribe to philosophical idealism. People don't have ideas, ideas have people and these ideas are in turn rooted in particular material conditions. Our actions can hinder or support material growth (and consequently societal development), but the trajectory of our species remains the same.
