It doesn't even make sense.

Calling MW5 utter and total shit is a bit over the top, thus the edgy rating. Sure, it's no MW2, but it's not that bad. I enjoyed it. If they'd just done some hand placed spawns instead of their randomly generated shit it could have been a really great game.

It is hilariously bad. Vanilla is awful. The random spawns, some of which do the "teleport in outside of your immediate field of view" are the tip of the iceberg.

The base AI routines are incredibly poor. Most enemies in vanilla default to "circle of death", at times running into obstructions while doing so. Lancemate AI is miserable, friendly fire is common.

Mission types are simplistic and get stale in a hurry. Defense is a nightmare because your own lancemates will typically do as much or more damage to the defense target than enemies.

The writing is comically bad. The VA work is mediocre-to-bad with a couple decent VAs who were working with whatever they were given. The story is nonsensical within established canon.

The music and default sounds range from uninspired to bad. The graphics are shockingly poor for a UE4 game. Trails and particles from weapons stick to the weapon barrels in vanilla. Weapon velocities make no sense in vanilla.

Lancemates are frequently unable to hit targets with LRMs. This is INEXPLICABLE unless they literally refused to lock on properly or hold lock for missile flight. SRMs are the bastardized dumbfire versions from MWO.

The default HUD is poorly designed. The menus are poorly designed. The MechLab defaults to a singularly unhelpful simplified view that you should never use. The time scale in game makes no sense.

Machine guns do not fire projectiles, it's actually a beam with a "bullet stream" effect because PGI were too lazy to figure that out, just like they were in MWO. For this reason MGs are actually hitscan weapons.

Vehicles in vanilla would be completely unthreatening if the game didn't try to drown you in them and spawn them in your rear arc for cheap shots on rear armor. There is pathetically low variety in non-mech enemies. Turrets are a joke in vanilla.

Jump jets are poorly implemented, somehow they feel even WORSE than they did in MWO, they have zero directional vectoring and can only launch you forwards.

Bugs are rife throughout the vanilla game, with some missions occasionally seeing your Leopard dropship somehow recessed into a mountainside or the ground, blocking you from exiting the bay.

The amount of CPU/GPU load the game causes cannot be explained by anything but the complete absence of any sort of optimization. PGI used to beg off issues like this in MWO by citing CryEngine's issues. They have no excuse with UE4.

Do I need to go on or do you have the gist of it?
