Now I'm curious, what are the key points of disagreement amongst necromancy enjoyers?

For him, necromancy is mostly about minionmancy. For me, this is only one aspect of necromancy. If an game has bad minionmancy but cool stuff eg - Auras and OHK spells like Pale Master in DDO, I can enjoy the game. He can't.
