Another online gaming event born in the absence of E3 this year is the Escapist Indie Showcase, a GOG-affiliated event dedicated to indie and indie-adjacent games. Two titles that the Codex has been following made an appearance. The first was Gamedec, the cyberpunk detective RPG from Anshar Studios that was successfully crowdfunded in April, which showed up with a new developer diary about choice & consequence. Later on, the shamanistic tactical RPG The Way of Wrath made an appearance as well with its first proper trailer. Here are both videos:

It's unclear what's going on with The Way of Wrath beta, but its appearance at this event apparently means that the game is coming out on GOG now, so that's good.

Jokes aside, I'll play The Way of Wrath - I like the setting. Effects are a bit on drug side and contradicts stone age theme, but we will see...
