How many different factions are there and how does the reputation system work with the factions?</b>

Seaman: There are five major factions in Two Worlds, and you gain and lose reputation with them through your actions and choices. Sometimes, you'll be able to easily predict a reputation change. For example, if The Brotherhood asks you to perform a mission for them, and you do, your reputation will go up with them. But in another instance, you might be asked to steal something and only until the deed has been performed will you realize you've wronged (and lost reputation with) a certain faction.

We wanted the player to feel that they're gaining recognition for their actions, so you'll quickly make powerful friends and enemies as you play Two Worlds. As your reputation with these factions changes, you'll notice a lot of different things opening up for you. Prices at certain vendors will change, there will be different dialogue options, and new quests. There will also be some tough choices that have to be made. Basically, the higher your reputation with one faction, the more opportunity you'll have to decimate that group's enemies. The rewards may be great, but are they worth alienating yourself from a particular group? That's the kind of decision players will have to face.</blockquote>Choices and consequences? Silly rabbit. Wacky english aside, that sounds pretty cool, as long as there's a reason for the player not knowing.

I love any design feature that flies in the face of the motherfucking chocolate milk genertaion's expectations.

A quest that would make you have to accept "need to know only" terms is fine as long as the player has the option of turning it down because of the moral ambiguity of it to the PC. If you are forced into the quest and then it throws it in your face at the big reveal "Oh no! Look what terrible things you've done!" then that would suck.

They decided to cram in the MMOG elements partway through, I believe. They had some spare time on their hands it would seem.

So, there's elements of MMO in it... not that the game has been turned into a MMO-only, right? There is still a single-player-thingy-in-there-somewhere? I mean, were covering this horse-shit so it must still have some sort of single-player elements to it.

Seems like an interesting game. I checked their site for system requirements. 2 ghz processor, half a gig of ram, a graphics card with Shader 2.0. I hate it when the suits pull this bullshit. Any of you have insight on what it will actually take to run this game?

Some say it works flawlessly on an average P4-2.8/1Gb/7600GT, with maxed out details, some complain it manages to lag pretty badly on C2D E6700 / X1950XTX or 8800 GTX on Medium. Looks like bad optimization strikes again.
