There has been a bit of hilarity on our forums about YouGamers' somewhat technocratic review of NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer. The review goes into great detail describing the gameplay mechanics as well as the technical merits of the expansion, praising its superior use of the capabilities of the NWN2 engine, but falls short of appreciating the intricate design concepts incorporated expertly by the good people at Obsidian, as can be deduced from the following quote:

Too much of what you see is just a visual prop, and in the post-Oblivion era, that's just not good enough.
Eat your heart out, crakkie, I used the quote you wanted me to use. To be fair, the reviewer defended his emphasis on the expansion's technical achievements by pointing to YouGamers' review criteria, which are diametrically opposed to our own. In the words of the almighty John Romero: Design Is Law.

To see what our forum regulars (and our former Ubersturmfuhrer, the master of sardonic quoting, in particular) have been giggling about, I suggest you comment there rather than in the thread for this news post.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind you all that our Mask of the Betrayer contest is still running, giving you (yes, you!) the chance to point out all those pieces of nifty design to the unbelievers.
