BioWare have announced their plans to show-off Dragon Age, which they assure us is totally epic:

Coming from behind epic closed doors and onto the epic show floor, epic BioWare is epicly thrilled to reveal the epic heart-pounding demo that wowed epic international media at epic E3 2008 to the eager epic fans at Gen Con Indy, August 14-17, 2008, at the epic Indianapolis Convention Center in epic Indianapolis, epic Indiana. This marks the very first public appearance of epic Dragon Age: Origins ever, with epic fans able to get an epic first-hand look at some of the epic exciting combat, epic devastating magic and credible digital actors that make up this epic adventure.

The game will also be show-cased at the Leipzig Games Convention and PAX in Seattle
NOTE: Announcement may have been modified slightly to include more epicness.

Good (epic) work. If we use the word "epic" enough then with any (epic) luck we'll (epically) wear it out and break it. It will be an epic day for us all.

Still cautiously looking forward to the game. Though showing the same old stuff again is worthless to me, especially if they aren't just going to show the whole thing in video or something.

.....epic......

Actually Indy is just sorta epic. I thought about trying to make it downtown to see this, but I'm not paying nearly 40 bucks for a day pass and at the same time have to mingle with LARPers.

But.. how so? You'll be able to have epic time with Epic Evil Chris Priestly who'll be eating epic mayonnaise sandwiches while you'll be watching as he plays the epic Dragon Age demo. How can you epically turn that down?

And.. I'm wondering, where is epic Davey with his epic what-would-you-possibly-know-about-MY-game logorrhea? :)

EDIT: Sorry, we're all wrong. Actually, it's : DARK, HEROIC AND GRITTY.
Gritty? This word sounds idiotically retarded. A gritty game? What the kitty?

That is all good and fine, but I'm worried whether this game will be truly epic.

...and credible digital actors that make up...
This has me worried. No mention of epicness. If I wanted something "credible" I wouldn't look Bioware's direction.

DU, keep on your dark heroic and gritty work. I might just resume visiting here for news...as long as you don't start writing in kyrillic.

EDIT:
Ooh, Volly is going for some more coolness in his posts. EPIC!

The voice actors are not epic as well?

No, they hired professional voice actors which is not epic at all. :P

The above statement is not based on fact, but rather what sounds funny. I have no idea whether or not Dragon Age uses professional voice actors.

Look, dgaider has an epic smile on his face. And biowhore's community manager, Chris Priestly, is as usual heroically... fat and gritty. And the scenery is dark!!

Just a little question.. how can something be epic if it involves sitting on the chair and using the mouse?
You mean compared to epic movies, books and plays because they (usually) do not involve using a mouse?

Source of the word:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epik
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epos

Man, english wikipedia sucks even more.
Epic comes from old greek: epos. Meaning story or poem. It tells a long and detailed story in form of verse or prose. Some epics were considered narrative of historic events. Mostly so mixed up with artistic freedom that it is hard to distinguish from fiction. Homer: the Iliad (fall of troy) or the Odyssey.

For what it is used:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epic
Epic: very imposing or impressive; surpassing the ordinary (especially in size or scale); "an epic voyage"; "of heroic proportions"; "heroic sculpture"
I'd only use "epic" for a long game that has a huge story arc and describes worldchanging events in great detail. But PR-departments like four letter words and so they call any generic 15-hour-fantasy-game "epic".

Shannow, you're such a bore.
Regardless, I think the biobbboreards offer you what you seek - plenty of smartass remarks about how that word which you used means exactly what you said it doesn't (jokingly or not). Or whatever..
Epic story about your epic character with his commander stuck on a chair commanding with his mouse. Be epic and get a life. NOW, THAT'S EPIC.

1. I seek pussy, alcohol and a life of plenty. I doubt that I'll find that in the bioboards. Although there may be a lot of pussies...
:codexdevil:
2. Everybody is given a life. You don't have to get it.
