Uninspired, bland and contrived.

firstly, this is RPG Codex and I already know that something that I like very much probably sucks
but what is it about this story trailer that is so uninspired, bland and abyssmal?

It's way better than that Fallout 3 trailer that is supposed to set the mood, because here it actually sets the moon & shows bits of the actual story, which I think (based on what I saw and what I was able to put together) is not in any way uninspired or bland.
I mean, what did you expect?
It is obvious you just hate Pb for some imaginary reason of your own, and yeah, I guess it's alright, but your bashing of their every action seems just a bit over the top

What the hell, guys? What's with the hate? It's a cinematic trailer -- what more did you expect? I thought it was intriguing and an enjoyable watch, and I'm definitely looking forward to the game (despite not having even bothered to try Gothic 3).

As for the trailer looks climatic, gritty world, settings looks good. What I don't like is that there seems to be to much revealed at start of the game.

I don't mind though, PB has never been any good at trailers.

It's probably not even in-game. Might not even see this video in the final version of the game... or maybe just as an intro, though it would suck. They probably just started development of this a short time ago, and this is their concept video. Well, at least we know it takes place on an island...

In the movie, most definitely not.
