We have another contestant for our “Media Whore of the Week” show. Give a warm welcome to RPG Vault who posted this epic, as in extending beyond the usual, review of KOTOR

The control system is a little unusual, although it doesn't take long to learn it…
The inventory system is also somewhat non-standard. Each character can equip up to nine items in the slots mentioned earlier. Anything not in use is kept in a common pool that appears to have no limit as to how much you can carry - a boon for players who like to hoard lots of loot, which is also made possible because credits are not all that difficult to come by.
Selection of equipment is another thing that's done in an atypical manner. Rather than drag and drop, you open a slot by clicking on it, then choose what to put in it from among the articles that can go there, which are the only ones shown.

Hahaha…is it a new language now? Unusual, non-standard, atypical instead of completely fucked up. What's next? Gameplay-challenged?

HAHA! It's either because they find those elements differently cool; or it';s a code word for they suck.

That said, those three elements are probably the three things that I hate the most about KOTOR and are probably why it isn't up with the Fallouts and BGs of the world.

Unusual must be synonimous to bad. Otherwise I am just confused.

Also, instead of trying to make combat look good, the reviewer chooses to conveniently ignore its problems instead

Well that is interesting, had it been Might and Magic X then that review would have been followed with a really bad SUCKS! I will never get over how MMIX got bashed for having a bunch of building that all looked the same and for NWN it was because of the really rad toolset. Talk about different spins...
