Game News Sea Dogs 2 (re)announced (in Russian only)

Because what was previously going to be Sea Dogs 2 was renamed to <A target=_blank href=http://pirates.bethsoft.com/>Pirates of the Carribean</a>, rushed and released unfinished to match the movie release date, <A target=_blank href=http://www.akella.com>Akella</a> has decided to finish the real <A target=_blank href=http://www.akella.com/k2/>Sea Dogs 2</a> because of the public demand in Russia. Unfortunately, the game will only be released in Russian (at least there are no plans for an international release for now).

Got some new info on the game from a friend who did some translation of the site for me. Apparently it is not going to be what Sea Dogs II was originally gonna be but rather based on the same engine as POTC and remade into a different game but still called Sea Dogs II. If that makes sense. :P

Anyways, got a very small list of features for you:

1. Play as male or female (descendants of Captain Sharp, Beatrice Sharp and Blaze Devlin)
2. Played on the original Sea Dogs map
3. Attack a fort and then assign one of your offices as governor then when the fort has been repaired you can use it as a base.

I like the prospect of it being on the original Sea Dogs map. And the assign a governor part got my attention as well. I really hope they bring this to the states.
