Another review from High School Gamers. This time they talk about Silent Storm, giving it 9/10 because the guy who wrote the review thoroughly enjoyed playing it.

Your weapons all have different fire modes, like snapped off shots for less AP and less accuracy, or careful shots for all of your AP, but very accurate. Machine guns have differnet burst fire options too. You can aim at certain body parts (like an arm, a head, etc), to make someone drop a gun, or to shoot to kill. You can also carry bodies of unconcious enemies out of the level to interrogate them for clues, and if you are good at the game, you can prevent your characters from dying almost every time by carrying your unconcious friends over your shoulder out of the level to heal them back at base. Base has an armory form getting weapons, a sickbay for the wounded, a place to reveiw personnel files to fire or hire people to your team, and a hangar for vehicles.

Well, I don't have SS yet, because every time I visit my EB store, the game is sold out, which proves how obsolete turn-based combat really is.

No, no, we call it a "retrograde advance." You need to brush up on your euphemisms, or as we in the know call it, "stay current with the latest emerging trends in multipurpose language."

Running away? Ever heard about a tactical retreat?

I don't think you can call it a tactical retreat when you're screaming "Mommy, Mommy - the cold is hurty my fingies!!!"

 ok, ok, it was a moment of weakness, but now I realize that my place is not among half-naked tanned women and rivers of rum, but here, driving to work through snowstorms, freezing rains, and people who can't fucking drive during winter. :)
