DAC's King Of Creation wants you to know that Duck and Cover stages a contest too, you can win copies of Fallout: New Vegas, console versions no less. There's a Short Story Competition and a Trivia Contest so you might want to pay them a visit showing them how it's done.

There are actually two separate contests: a Trivia Contest and a Short Story Contest. 1 copy of the game will be given to the winner of the Trivia Contest and 3 copies will be given to the winners of the story contest. Unfortunately, the contest is only open to residents of the UK as Argos only delivers to the UK. Contest submissions will be accepted until Midnight GMT, 06 November 2010 for the trivia contest. Short story submissions will be accepted until Midnight GMT, 04 November 2010, at which time peer-voting will commence to determine the winners.

1.) Fallout: New Vegas Senior Designer Chris Avellone was once threatened by a celebrity. Who was that celebrity?

I don't know this one. Was it Volourn? *snort*

2.) Who is the only character to appear in Fallout 1, 2, and 3?

Can't be the vault dweller himself. 200 years later and all that. Hmm.

3.) Name one pop-culture reference/special encounter/etc. from a Fallout game.

This one's too easy. UFO, Godzilla footprint, etc., etc.

4.) Faithful Fallout 1 follower Ian often had to be killed by players due to an overlooked design flaw. What was the reason for his numerous deaths?

Because he liked shooting you in the back a little too much? (screwed this one up, changed it. I had the basic idea)

5.) What do an Evangelist, Porn Star, Lawyer, Doctor, Game Designer, Artist, Scientist, and Politician have in common in terms of the Fallout world?

Egh, I should know this.

6.) After destroying the oil rig in Fallout 2, a special item becomes available which gives the player a massive XP and skill boost when used (and it can be used an infinite amount of times). Where, specifically, is this item located?

I honestly don't know this one, either. I don't believe I ever attempted that.

7.) Which original Fallout series NPC has a relative in Fallout: New Vegas?

Haven't played enough of NV to know.

8.) What RPG system was Fallout originally going to use?

G.U.R.P.S., I believe.

9.) Fallout is considered the spiritual successor to which game?

Wasteland.

10.) The city of Bakersfield became which location in the Fallout world?

Necropolis.

1.) Fallout: New Vegas Senior Designer Chris Avellone was once threatened by a celebrity. Who was that celebrity?

I'm pretty sure it was Ron Perlman.

2.) Who is the only character to appear in Fallout 1, 2, and 3?

Harold, obvs. And I didn't even play 3 for more than an hour or two.

3.) Name one pop-culture reference/special encounter/etc. from a Fallout game.

Police box in Fallout 1. About a million other things.

4.) Faithful Fallout 1 follower Ian often had to be killed by players due to an overlooked design flaw. What was the reason for his numerous deaths?

He would shoot you. Usually in the back.

5.) What do an Evangelist, Porn Star, Lawyer, Doctor, Game Designer, Artist, Scientist, and Politician have in common in terms of the Fallout world?

Not sure. They're all special perks?

6.) After destroying the oil rig in Fallout 2, a special item becomes available which gives the player a massive XP and skill boost when used (and it can be used an infinite amount of times). Where, specifically, is this item located?

Fallout 2 hintbook.

7.) Which original Fallout series NPC has a relative in Fallout: New Vegas?

Not there yet.

The last three are just what Crispy said.

Yeah, I believe this one to be true. The push command in FO2 was sorely needed in FO sometimes. I remember having to reload old saves a couple of times in that game, because NPCs boxed you in.

More specifically, hintbook is located in New Reno, Father Tully's church. Speak to the drunken pastor.

Yeah, Ian did get stuck in doorways.

Only one I couldn't answer was 5, since I didn't play tactics.

This is an DaC excuse for trivia?
