G4TechTV--the absymal cable channel that runs the equally absymal show X-Play--have a review of Troika's latest (and last?) game, Vampire: Bloodlines. They liked it well enough to rate it 4 stars out of 5.
The other problem here has to do with the open-endedness of the game itself. Even though you have a lock picking skill, many locked door don’t even allow you to attempt to pick them. Other doors simply have no handles, which makes places like hotels and offices feel contrived. However, a great deal of energy was put into most of the places you’ll visit (especially a certain hotel early on in the game) and there are plenty of memorable places throughout.
Uh... developers making magical doors unopenable until you finish the appropriate quest is the opposite of "open-endedness", champ.
