Dreamatrix would like to share with you the first in-game trailer for their open world action RPG, Legends Of Dawn.

PR blurbage:

This first part of the trilogy is set in the human and elven regions of the continent Narr. Danians, an original race, though guests in this region, are deeply entwined in the overall story. Events take the player from the glum village of Korden's Fall, through ancient tombs and dungeons once inhabited by dwarves, to the elven city Recea and the Great Northern Swamps; home of the mystical Danians. The player will stumble upon archaic scripts of dwarves, believed to be exterminated after the long war with humans, and unearth the greatest of them all. The Legend of Dawn, the divine apparatus. The player might be the one long awaited, to find and reassemble the shattered parts and dispel the looming forces of darkness over Ashglades.

Runestones, quests, inventories, potions, books, looting, shopping, crafting, reputation, boss fight – All of these RPG-elements, and so much more, are represented in Legends of Dawn.

I remember that game, it sounds p. cool from the description in the website, mainly:

"Another quality that makes Legends of Dawn interesting, is the freedom of direction and movement. Most games force a player to follow the main storyline and forbid any deviation, or significant veering off the set course. Legends of Dawn is more sympathetic to your playing needs. You are free to wander wherever tickles your fancy within the continent, without limitations, under one condition. Stay alive. We have been careful to ensure that the quests only suggest, rather than impose direction of movement. Your journey is in your hands alone."

Anyway, it looks awfully generic but who knows. Might be the next Divinity 2.

Hadn't heard of this game, checked out the site. I liked this:
Choose among 3 different races - Human, Elf and Danian and 2 genders - male or female

Anyway, game looks alright for a clickfest. May buy.

Just shows the decline of the world that we actually have games those days where you can play a tranny (and not just larp one).

Not sure its a good idea to release that game so close to diablo 3 . Everythingin it scream diablo clone.

The brief glimpses of combat just looked like walking up to enemies and clicking them to death. Worse still, it looked as slow and passive as NWN combat.

I predict the other two parts of the trilogy won't be released.

Well I like good crafting systems so this is enough to put it on my watch list at least:

A complex crafting system with over 25.000 usable items, allows you to make everything from food, metal, wood, stone, leather to weapons and fashion armors

Combat looks bad.

Can't tell, is there level scaling?

I'm willing to give it a go if it releases a demo, although it doesn't seem particularly promising. Anyone know if there's any non-combat related skills in this thing?

Visual design completely uninspired. Unable to tell it apart from the heaps of mindless MMORPGs. Combat looks just as banal.
