Gaming Nexus posted a preview of Dungeon Siege 2, a sequel to the reviewer's "favorite hack and slash RPG". Needless to say, the moron is excited. Needless to say, he reviews everything but the gameplay.

If you’re familiar with the first game at all you’ll feel right at home in Dungeon Siege II. The game plays and looks almost the same.
This does NOT sound good.

Graphically Dungeon Siege II is a jump ahead its predecessor but not a huge leap. The level of detail has certainly been cranked up a notch. The excellent character animations from the first game have also been carried over and expanded. Combat animations are solid and the slightly over the top death animations from the first game are there. If you manage to do significantly more damage to a monster than they have they still explode into a satisfying cloud of giblets.
Translation: the screensaver feature looks better then before.

" The game plays and looks almost the same."

Sounds to me like he did review gameplay, and as expected it's not changing much. What could be different enough to entice disappointed DS 1 players to buy the overhyped sequel? I wanted to like the original, but I just couldn't play anymore past that damn swamp.
