Obsidian Entertainment and LucasArts have apparently finally decided to release a patch for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. There doesn't seem to be a direct download link on the LucasArts website, but the game's autopatcher should be able to find it. Here's some fixlist.
------------------------
NEW CONTENT AND FEATURES
------------------------
* Added High Resolution Movies
* Added High Quality Music
* Added voice lines for Opo Chano when the PC states they can
repair the protocol droid themselves on Telos (dark side)
* Added support for the Intel i915 chipset

---------------
RESOLVED ISSUES
---------------
* Corrects a crash issue at the beginning of the dialogue after
entering the Harbringer
* Corrects a crash issue when transitioning between B-4D4 to the
main character after Czerka Mainframe quest on Telos (light side)
* Corrects an art issue with NPCs that appear in the mine
foreman's log on Peragus
* Corrects a geometry issue inside the Jekk Jekk Tarr bar on
Nar Shaddaa
* Corrects an issue with ATI Radeon cards being incorrectly
reported in the swinfo.txt
* Corrects an issue with Atton missing from force cage in the
Telos Academy
* Corrects an issue with the swoop bike getting stuck in air in
the swoop race mini-game
* Corrects a text/voice mismatch in Kreia's dialogue on Malachor
* Corrects a scripting issue with Batano quest on Telos (light side)
* Corrects a scripting issue with Devaronian conversation on Telos
* Updates a journal entry for "A Hidden Power" quest on Korriban
* Updates a journal entry for the "Fuel Sabotage" bonus mission
on Telos
* Master Vash’s corpse will now yield a lightsaber if you have a
lightsaber when you kill him on Korriban (dark side)
* Khoonda Gun Turrets will no longer appear if you destroy them
on Dantooine (dark side)
* Reduced the repetition of party members' voice lines when
opening doors and containers
Nothing terribly impressive; specifically, nothing addressing the awful ending of the game. Still, the patch only brings the game to 1.0b, which might suggest they have something else they want to call 1.1.

Here instead of playing an RPG.
They've got such a long way to go if even part of the xbox bugs are in the pc version. Miles and miles.

-Hanharr infinite stat bug
-Mira doesn't give grenades bug
-infinite 'saber bug
-infinite robe bug
-fury and other skills not giving extra attacks bug
-Bao-dur doesn't always properly turn jedi with adequate influence bug
-Force armor and speed don't boost defense bug
-Infinite fight with handmaiden bug

Just to name a few.

Swept under the carpet, thats all that going to happen, im surprised that they even did this much for the game, i just hope that LA dont impose the same ridiculous 12 month dev cycle on KOTOR 3.

The game already sounded quite good. It was lacking in other areas. Of course, given that most of its issues are central to either the engine or the design, no amount of patching could fix them.

DrattedTin, your party is waiting on line 7.

Maybe, but the major problems in KOTORII were the cut materials, not the audio.

As far as the cut content goes, I have a feeling there's only the modders we can put our trust in.

Most impressive thing on that list for me is higher quality movies. They needed better quality.

Meh, there are no new movies and music in this update. That comes out in a few days because it was too big to include:

Actually as previously stated, the music and movies were too big to include in this patch and will be released in a second patch in a few days.

The music files that came with the game are all in mono.
Holy shit! I know that it is irrelevant to the game being good or bad, but after paying full price for a big-budget title and hearing that it had mono audio tracks I'd feel robbed.

Yeah believe it or not (fuck off) I actually bought the game and listening to a mono soundtrack isn't exactly my idea of an award winning experience.

Too late now Lucasarts, dumbasses. I already beat it and im too tired to even replay the same ol story. Those Morons should have release it earlier and faster. Kotor 2 is going into my collection of games that will never be play til years later.

KOTOR2 is the kind of game that when I'm really bored and looking for something good to replay, I'll come across, look at for a couple seconds and then go "hell no" and toss it back on the CD rack.

Good for one play through just like KOTOR1. I can see JE being the first game I replay in like 5 years...

I played KOTOR2 quite a bit (light/dark, different char builds), but I think by now I've played it entirely out. The bugs made it less worth it. At a minimum, they ALL would have to be fixed and I'd need a mod with new content.

Wooo-hoooo! I knew my strategy of not buying the game until the cost went down would pay dividends. Of course, the cost hasn't come down yet, so...hmmmm...what to do, what to do...[goes off and plays Arcanum].
