Gamer's Hell has written up a <a href=http://www.gamershell.com/articles/892.html>preview</a> of Dungeon Siege II that covers all the usual bases. A snippet:

Read the rest and you'll figure out that what they're trying to convey is that the game has an actual plot and actual gameplay. I suppose I'll have to see that for myself, when the Beta starts this 25th.
