<a href="http://www.spectresoftware.com/db/Necrotech/index.asp">Necrotech</a>, which was recently released as freeware by <a href="http://www.spectresoftware.com">Specter Software</a>, has been updated to version 1.5.0. This fixes a game-stopping problem:
<br>
<br>
<blockquote>A huge thanks goes out to Istara who has helped me create a new version of Necrotech which addresses a critical problem in the game that stops it from being completed.
<br>
<br>
If you have downloaded the previous version of Necrotech, please go to the download page and redownload it. This will take you to version 1.5.0 (visible on the main menu), fixing this flaw and numerous file linking issues.
<br>
<br>
You can copy your saved game out of the saves folder on the previous version and into the new version to continue your game.</blockquote>

This update should also solve the problem of hunting for the latest version that some were having. The site has limited bandwidth, so you may have to try later to get ahold of this release. Now you can enjoy trouble free <s>Poser</s> RPG fun.

But doesn't address the critical problem of how awful it is?

Stupid, we're the RPG Codex, remember? We always give blowjobs to indie developers. Sheesh, were've you been? :roll:

You must have missed the last thread on <s>Poser</s> Necrotech. Feel free to hate it. It now costs nothing to find out if it sucks.

No, I've just been hanging out on RPGdot too much. I stopped going there just about when the hallucinations of Corwin sucking Cleve's dick started. Needless to say, I burned my eyes out.

Fair enough. :lol: Some people seem to like Necrotech and a few said they were happy to see another free game up to try. It must be one of a dozen games for those hard done by Mac users too. ;)

Well, I just tried it and I must say, if I had to choose, I'd rather watch Corwin suck Cleve's dick some more.

I'd like to know why people were buying it and sending fanmail for this game if it is so awful.

Quite possibly. The developers might turn out something decent in the future. Some of the stuff on their site is interesting.
