Spectre Software have announced that they are working on a new RPG called Blood Rune:

The whole Blood Rune game will run in real time (with perhaps a pause in the inventory) so factors which affect how quickly you can do something are very important. Battle axes will take longer to swing than a dagger, but its damage will more than make up for this. In addition, armour will have a big part to play with attack timings. Platemail, for instance, will slow down your attacks, while providing excellent protection from damage. So there will be a tradeoff. Perhaps some people will prefer a slow, armoured tank character who absorbs lots of damage and some will prefer an unarmoured, extremely quick character that can hit multiple times before his enemy can react. In Blood Rune, you will play a barbarian, so the armour issue also reflects this.

There is a screenshot on the site showing how it looks so far. The hands hint at more use of Poser in this game. Hopefully this will be an improvement over Necrotech. You can drop by their forums to give suggestions and comments on the project.
