Yes. Story is quite uncommon, and fairly well written. Its other advantage is no copy protection. On the other hand there is missing text in English translation, and it's unfinishable in English version. (Change into original is as simple as moving one file.)

Owie, so its another bad case of homemade translation. Maybe there will be some fan made patches?

Anybody tried it actually? The 3d looks dated, but looks okay-ish for an ambitious arpg.</gfx.whoar>

Has anyone played this game, the russian version maybe?
I haven't played it, but everyone seems to agree that it sucks. And the book it is based on was shit, Perumov's worst book.

I played it. It's quite railroaded, often someone destroys part of the railroad track.

I would like to have a first person view, at least in cities, as architecture is quite decent. Gameplay is a thrid person view of a party somehow like Dungeon siege, or Spellforce 2. However theirs abilities are quite uncommon and, it feel matching to theirs backgrounds.

It has brutal spells, and also cruel abilities on some characters. That loli mage can kill a person in single strike. That cat person can revive with a fairly high probability, that third woman character has massive boost into character stats and can summon wolves which are nasty.

The trouble with translation isn't a homebrew translation. It's missing text.

Also there are bugs in the English version. So I basically wait for a patch to continue, and hope the patch will work without need to start again.

And of course there are weapons like saws, or miniguns... Weapon speeds are affected by proficiencies, which means a character without high proficiency in certain weapons would sucks with more powerful weapons. There are also perks.
