i don't give a total flying fuck about achievements, because first of all i care about the game itself, and then because 99% of them are either "open a door" or "balance a pile of 50 pennies on your chin while you dance polka during the final fight at max difficulty without ever taking damage on your fifth newgame+". but i appreciate if they're made to have me think outside of the box or try something completely different, like this eu4's one i recently saw: "spaghetti western: start as bologna, become mexico". it's completely in and for itself, but just few lines of code and it's an entirely new scenario.

Can't remember what game, but one game had a "shameful" achievement, think it was about looking up someone's skirt. I remember having some fun looking at what friends got that one on Steam :)

Nier had you do it a bunch of times to get the achievement. She even reacts to it lol.

Achievements aren't at all important to me, started gaming in the 80s before any of that stuff, and it just hasn't stuck with me.

I do recall when I moved across the country about 10 years ago my best friend and I would compare what we got on whatever 360 game we would be playing online together, but it was little more than a cursory glance rather than any dedicated desire to get one.

He liked em, but whatever, I just played.

Since I have fully moved to pc I have even less interest in them, don't even bother with the cursory glances anymore.

Remember this guy? He completed 100% of 1200 Playstation games.

3000 Plats claimed, then got removed from their leaderboard for hacking and cheating.

Hasn't posted a vid in 9 months now.

It's this type of retarded shit achievements breed. Play a proper challenge in front of a live audience and I've respect for you. But there's not a lower form of human being than Hakoom, he has to cheat at being retarded.
